Disney is making a marital arts epic inspired by Snow White.

....Its times like this when I we we still had the I Am Not Making This Up trope...

Personally, I think it sounds more promising than both of the 2012 movies. The dwarfs - or warriors, in this case - are almost always more interesting characters than Snow White anyway. Plus it's got the screenwriter for Toy Story 3, so that's good news as well. Let's wait until we hear more info on this, shall we?

Oh, martial arts. When I read "marital" in your post, I was slightly worried.

Yeah, this probably will be better. The Universal and Relativity Snow Whites don't have very good leads.

I could imagine someone like Zhang Ziyi as Snow White. And hopefully the Jon Lucas/Scott Moore draft gets dropped. All they ever seen to write is toilet humor and one-dimensional characters.

[up]I think they already have dropped it. The current draft of the script was done by Michael Arndt, who wrote Toy Story 3. At the moment, my only real concern is that it will be the director's first feature film. Also, the Snow White character is going to be British. I'm not yet sure why.

I've had my suspicions for a while now, but this confirms that we've lost the War on Drugs.

The punchline is Hollywood executives and their fabled love for cocaine.

I dunno. I expect this to be about on the level of The Sorcerer's Apprentice from last year.

This has been in the works for almost 10 years now, though in earlier drafts the dwarfs were all Shaolin monks.

Still sounds a lot better then Snow White and the Huntsman

Saoirse Ronan has been cast as the Snow White character.gringringrin

Oh, the irony. The sweet, sweet irony.*

This article also implies that the story may deviate quite a bit from the original tale. Nothing wrong with that, IMO.
