I mean, it's not even bad cosplay.

How about this?

[up] I like that one better than what's up there right now. Cosplay isn't really an example of this trope.

My vote with the Sleet Wintergreen's pic.

If a chicken crosses the road and nobody else is around to see it, does the road move beneath the chicken instead?

I like the Cats That Talk one, but the first one suggested is probably the best illustration of the trope.

Cosplay isn't really an example of this trope.

COSTUME PLAY' is not a part of this trope? Seriously? -_-

[up] This is an in-universe trope. Cosplay is fan-made material, and whether it's cheap or not it doesn't really belong here (unless maybe it's intentionally bad, which the current pic isn't).

I'd vote for Bag-Man from suedenim's link in post 6.

I'm not convinced about Sleet Wintergreen's, because while it's obviously a cheap costume, it's not obviously a Cheap Costume. It's better than the current picture, but the trope is either:

  • Cheap (in-universe) imitation of a superhero costume, or
  • Costume that's been hastily improvised by an actual superhero who is missing their usual costume.

It isn't clear from the picture that either of those is the case. Although I may be drawing too much out of the description - those may be examples where this trope occurs rather than prerequisites. Even so, I still think Bag-Man is funnier.

In light of Blackfire's post...I have to agree with Bag-Man. Nay to the cosplayers.

I like the OP one; but Bag Man works too. Definitely not the cosplayers though.

In-Universe Cosplay would work however I really cant think of an example off hand.... Animated they all come off well made.

Started a run-off crowner. I've pulled the current image since we've established it isn't an example.

The crowner stabilized about a day or so after it went up. I'm calling it. The new image is up and captioned as "The Amazing Bag-Man would prefer no photos." But if that doesn't work we could use a different caption, or no caption.
