Sleeping Beauty is one of the Disney movies I don't think I saw as a little kid, but having watched parts of it as a college student I can't help but find Maleficent somewhat attractive, especially earlier on. I think it's deliberate on the animators' part, since even a company associated with the Evil Makes You Ugly approach * will subvert it from time to time given the popularity of Evil Is Sexy elsewhere.
