Wait a minute. I know Fast Eddie's the big boss, but is he allowed to remove an image when there's an IP?
Wait, WTF did I just ask?
Always hiding my keys in the bug bucket, you bastard dog.bump
Always hiding my keys in the bug bucket, you bastard dog.Okay, 1: I don't know what you asked either. And 2: You don't need to bump a thread every day, let alone within fifteen minutes.
the pic was removed before we had enough consensus. When i checked the history i found out fast eddie did it.
Always hiding my keys in the bug bucket, you bastard dog.Eddie runs the entire site, so he can pull images whenever he so chooses...granted, it's not always warranted *cough*Broken Bird*cough*, but that's his call. We the tropers hold ourselves to the system of pull votes that we've been using.

Yeah... If Fast Eddie does something just nod your head and pretend it was always that way.
So seeing how the page is imageless does anyone got anything to go here? Cause I think I got one, but it's going to take a while to find it.
Please.Sorry for the double post, but it took me a little less longer than I thought to find.

Please. That's close, but it's not really his geekitude he's hiding, it's that he's playing a "girly game"
...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.In otherwords, a Guilty Pleasure. What's the difference between the two?

Fight smart, not fair. The difference between a character type and a subjective opinion about a work? Pretty big difference, to me.

...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.So that makes my pic an example?
Please. No, there's nothing to indicate that the big guy tries to hide that he's a geek. It's an example of a Guilty Pleasure.
Closet Geek: A character is a geek but tries to hide that fact.
Guilty Pleasure: a work that you enjoy, but don't want to admit you enjoy.
...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.According to the guilty pleasure page:
Guilty Pleasure may, but does not always, overlap with Closet Geek. "Guilty Pleasure" implies that a person feels guilty for enjoying a show or product that is actually not worthy of their appreciation—they believe that it is low-quality, but for some reason like it anyway. The Closet Geek hides their fanhood for fear of what other people will say, but they may believe that the things they like are legitimately good and worthy of appreciation.
I say it falls under closet geek because he is embarrassed he is playing it.

Please.Closet Geek: "This trope defines a character who is interested in fantasy, sci-fi, computer stuff, or other manner of geeky pastimes. The difference between this character and a proud geek is their total lack of embracing their geeky nature."
...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.He's the employee at a game review business. He's not hiding his geekitude at all.
...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.Oh, fuck no. I went and cleaned Guilty Pleasure by hand. It is not a work you enjoy, it is not fucking subjective, it is restricted to in-work. It took three hours of slogging through whiny bullshit about how much a fandom/the public will hate you for mentioning that you enjoy a work looking for in-universe examples. Please don't dismiss my work like that.
Fight smart, not fair.Apologies. I didn't realize it had been changed. And calm down, please.
...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.Sorry. That was not a pleasant time going through that.
Hm, the best way I could think to these being different, is that one involves a specific subset of interests, but doesn't necessarily show it. Essentially the inverse of Badass Bookworm yes?
Fight smart, not fair. The image i used is at http://furthiahigh.concessioncomic.com/index.php?pid=20091214 (last 2 panels.) maybe we could make it legible and still fit into the restraints?
Always hiding my keys in the bug bucket, you bastard dog.Given the new definition of Guilty Pleasure, it seems like the comic linked earlier (with the hello kitty game) would be a good image for it.
Belief or disbelief rests with you.The Hello Kitty game would be good for Guilty Pleasure. It should probably get a separate image picking though.
Reality is that, which when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away. -Philip K. Dick
The original pic, fixed.
Always hiding my keys in the bug bucket, you bastard dog.Bump
Always hiding my keys in the bug bucket, you bastard dog.Not a fan for Talking Heads reasons.
Fight smart, not fair.
A pic was put on Closet Geek, but the text is almost illegible.
