I've thought the same thing pretty much. The comic book character Superman is almost a completely different animal than Superman as portrayed in other media. However, I think a merger would be a good idea.
Personally, I'd suggest making the "Main" page the real one. Sure, Superman has origins as a comic book hero, but he's evolved far, far beyond that. (The same is true of Batman and Spider-man now.)
So basically, we need to have our own Crisis On Infinite Tropes merger.

Are there any Tropes that are specific to Comic Book Superman, as opposed to the Movies, (and Superman Returns), Lois And Clark, Smallville, 60's-70's era animation, and 90's animation and Justice League versions? (Or to specific eras therein?)
If so, use the Main page EDIT as a Disambiguation between Media/Works and to list that apply to a majority of adaptations [/Edit], and use the Comic Book page as a storage site for Comic-Specific Tropes.
EDIT 2: As to how the Trope list would work: "The Tropes Listed on this page would apply to multiple adaptations spanning at least two different forms of media. For Tropes that apply only to a single work or to multiple works within the same medium, please refer to the appropriate sub-/work page."
EDIT 3: As for the description: Cut the Main's description to The First 2 and Last 3 Paragraphs, and indicate that the full backstory is in the Comicbook Sub Page. Also, have the main comics list only in the Comicbook page, but keep Crossover comic appearances listed on the Main (along with the other works).

Ketchum's corollary to Clarke's Third Law: Any sufficiently advanced tactic is indistinguishable from blind luck.Back from the Dead is the most obvious.
My preference, with this and all comicbook pages, is to turn the Main into a Broad Strokes about the character and turn the Comicbook.Superman page into an index of arcs/subseries and a timeline with tropes.
Fight smart, not fair.I support Deboss's plan here. I think that whatever you decide to do, a main Superman page should remain since I am pretty sure that people will still use Superman when referring to him and the works that feature him.

Link to Comicbook.Superman
This is a mess. TWO pages about the same subject. Indexing evenly split between them. This needs to be merged (read: one of them should be turned into a redirect), BUT:
