Team Fortress 2 Troper Dedicated Servers

So I join the server. Die. hl2.exe has stopped working.

Try it again. Same thing happens. Was my ping high? No, it was double digits at most.

I also noticed my end of round sound mod didn't play.

US or EU? May not have time to fix it, but I'll give it a go.

UPDATE: Both servers show online, and the US server has players.

Also, does anyone have admin experience on servers? Or is at least somewhat savvy? I need help and I'm not afraid to admit it.

I gotta say, the match with Minesweeper and the other tropers was really fun. Also, you play a killer Soldier Minesweeper.

So the server works now, but I have a few qualms. It redownloads the mods on map change each time. It also really doesn't like client side sound mods.

Indeed, the downloading of all the mods add quite some time into loading a new map.

Quick question: How do I find a server using just the IP Address?

I'd suggest using something like Game Tracker to do that. It allows you to jump right into the server if you download the program, and it's extremely reliable.

You go to the Favorites tab and click search by IP or something like that.

I get insanely high ping and lots of lag whenever there are more than five people on the US server, is there anything I can do about it?

I've been getting High ping too, which is weird because I was on when a bunch of peoeple were on last night and it was running smoothly...

For those wondering: yeah, Steam kinda had a fit and dropped a bunch of connections.
