Please find a way to edit that into something less of a wall of text. Seriously its a huge wall of text that's just impossible to read as it is.

So basically something has happened to Gennai, and the egg in the beginning may or may not be Meicoomon's egg. Also, Meiko has been a Digidestined for as long as the original group.

Surprised no one asked about Alphamon or the Imperialdramon that was fought.

....Why do you people never spoiler stuff that count as spoilers? Part three doesn't come out until the end of next month and some people would like to avoid spoilers while still being able to discuss other stuff.

I am really starting to be more sure that tri will use the X-Virus/X-Antibody plotline.

Hell, some of the attacks Meikoomon has in the games have an X motif

Interesting stuff.

Gennai being indisposed makes sense, because as they said, he usually takes care of the kind of shit the government guys are currently handling. The fact that he went to them should have been the first clue that something isn't right on his end.

And speaking of the agents this brings me to a theory I've had about them:

Remember that little plot thread introduced in the opening minutes of the penultimate episode of the Adventure? That whole previous Chosen Children / Digidestined thing? Well, I'm wondering if Himekawa and Nishijima are two of them, and that's why Gennai fed them the information. Oikawa proves that the digital world has been communicating with the human world well before the kids first showed up on File Island. In fact, depending on how old they are, they might have even travelled there around the time Oikawa and Iori / Cody's dad first learned about it as well.

So what do you guys think?

Dammit, Ruki. You just admitted that Renamon was your friend and that allowed her to evolve. Stop being the worst kind of tsundere. Also, evolution didn't win the day but rather a card slash combo. That's interesting.

I really love "EVO", by the way. It starts off slow powerful with that build up and them BAM! Let's go kick ass!

I admit, I want to believe they won't just ignore the issue, but I also wanted to believe Young Hunters wouldn't toss Taiki under the bus and I still regret it.

That being said, I'll wait until they actually do it before I stage a Golgom style riot POLITICAL STATEMENT.

Again, the fact that there are some people who are pissed at 02 being ignored when you consider how many people hated its epilogue is something I'll never fail to find funny. Goes to show that even a weak link in the chain can have it's place.

Plus, I'd have loved to see how the 02 crew changed as well, so it is frustrating that they got crushed under the bus like they did.

02's epilogue is still such BS and I really hope that tri somehow shunts it from canon or otherwise makes it ignoreable via alternate timeline shenanigans or something.

They should accept what they did and deal with it.

About the theory that Rob mentioned about Nishijima and Himekawa...

tri Abridged had Himekawa making a comment at the end of the second episode wich implied that they were Digidestined/Chosen Children. Funny thing is the first episode of tri Abridged had a little joke about something being not quite right about Meikoomon at the end and it turned out to be true in the actual series.

The epilogue wasn't even bad though? I still don't understand why nonshippers hate it. Shippers I understand because it invalidates a lot of their ships but nonshippers have no reason to hate it that I can see.

I personally found the epilogue to be uplifting. Seeing them retcon it would be like how Madoka retconned their ending.

And now you know why I call it Tribellion Story.

The Rebellion Story didn't retcon the anime's ending, it continued where the anime left off. It didn't even pull a Happy Ending Override because everyone except Homura is better off than they were before but that's neither here nor there.

Non-shippers hate the epilogue for the other reason I hate the epilogue: The jobs given to most of the original Chosen Children come right the fuck out of nowhere. Only one or two of them make any sort of sense.

I just noticed something funny. A couple years ago, Pokémon Origins was dubbed by California voice actors, when the Pokémon anime is normally dubbed by New York voice actors. Origins included some voice actors that worked on the older Digimon series, like Jamieson Price. Now tri's dub has Tara Sands, a voice actor from New York who worked on the older Pokémon seasons.

On a different note, does anyone think the dub will change Alphamon's name into something that will maintain Theme Naming with Omnimon?

Let me explain my reasons. One of the main reasons I hate the epilogue is because it barely bothers to explain why everything in the distant future seems to have become something that came straight out of a sugar poisoned classic Disney ending.

Suddenly everyone in the planet got a partner (thus cheapening the position of having one) and the world is more or less an utopia, they show the children grew up and have offsprings that are perfect clones of their old selves (complete with even having the same partners), they briefly make comments about their jobs (some os them being really wierd for the characters) and that's it.

I know it is a distant epilogue and all of that, but from a viewer's perspective it just felt so sudden I just have the feeling they didn't think much about the ending at all and just wanted to focus on making up happy endings for everyone without needing to explain how it happened. Just saying it was the time flying is just lame to me because: 1) That's the easy way out. 2) It was just mere seconds from my pont of view and I just can't digest all of this sudden info dump, it feels odd.

The epilogue is such a mess in my book that one of my greatest hopes for the Tri series of movies is to see if they are going to manage to pull off some king of actual background for this scenario. Until then, I will keep labeling it as awful. And no, this has nothing to do with the Taiorato triangle because I just plain don't care about what happens in the romantic lives of these three characters and the only couple I actually ship in this continuity is Koumi.

I know everyone probably knows this already but the "Taiorato triangle" was largely invented by the dub. With a bit of help from the misinformed writer of the second movie.

Except it wasn't completely invented by the dub. When I rewatched (read: actually, properly watched) Adventure not too long ago, I watched it subbed and I still came out of it support Taiora far more than Yamora. While Yamato and Sora make an okay couple, I believe that Taichi and Sora make a far better one.

I never really cared about that love triangle to be honest. (Just wanted to give my two cents on the matter.)
