Matt's done that already, even if only him and Tai actually fought.

I don't think he'd actually do that again.

Tai: Guys... Alphamon is a good guy!

Matt: What?

Kari: Tai, we just found out that he murdered Davis and the others!

Tai: Hear me out! They were in the way....

TK: In the way? Tai, Davis was your protege! You're willing to just write him off as a lost cause!?

Tai: He was after Meikomon, since she was the source of the infection! We should have let him take Meikomon back at the park!

Izzy: If we had let him do that, he would have also seriously hurt or even kill Meiko.

Matt: Tai, do you have any idea what you're suggesting? You're asking us to put blind faith in a Digimon who's done nothing but make us suffer.

Tai: ... I know. Put your faith in me.

Matt: No. I've put enough faith in you! Now it's time for a real leader to step up!

And rewatching the PV, it looks like Birdramon and Togemon are infected, mainly because they have the same color as the infected Imperialdramon, and fighting Metalgreymon. And finding another translation Joe said something different, "As friends we are... How can all of you just leave us like that?!" No idea, what he meant, but he could be referring to their partner digimon, if that's the case that would explain that last part with all of the Chosen Children are shocked and sad.

I love that abridged series. I'm glad it's back. That was great.

I found something that relates to the digimon kaiser http://bokutachinodigitalworld.blogspot.com.br/2016/08/who-is-this-mysterious-man.html (Translation: Who is this mysterious man?? We will find out in chapter 3.) Though it could be a teaser.

Spoiler that? There's just over a month left until part three drops and I've managed to avoid spoilers for it until now.

Part 3 of Tri hasn't dropped yet? I should probably go ahead and finally watch Part 2 instead of Tamers (which is amazing, by the way, and I'm only seven episodes in).

I need to rewatch Tamers myself. And the first two series. It's been a pretty long time since I watched those.

Rewatching Tamers is always a good idea. However, when I considered watching an episode on Netflix this weekend, I actually decided against it, because I couldn't pick just one episode to watch. Some of the better episodes were in the D-Reaper arc, where it just got dark, and where watching several episodes probably would be preferred.

Guilmon is so adorable it hurts. Nozawa Masako is perfect as him, surprisingly enough, since she makes him even more adorable.

My favourite episode of Tamers is Episode 19 where they fight Indramon again.

Mostly because he doesn't just stomp mud-holes in them and walk them dry but because we've never the hero digimon take that much of a beating without reverting to later forms before.

Partner Digimon were always astounding for their ability to take punishment that would kill lesser digimon of the same level and Growlmon, Kyuubimon and Galgomon / Gargomon really showed it here. So many cans of Whoop ass were opened in that fight that it's years later and people are still picking them up.tongue

I actually never watched Tamers when on the air, because I was a little shit who didn't like change and hated that it wasn't connected to the previous two.

Well, I hope you regret that decision, because most people consider Tamers the best series.

I mean, I'm sure it has it's flaws, same as any other series, but the two series that probably receive the least criticism (even if for different reasons) are probably the original Adventure and Tamers.

Wait, nevermind, I just remembered the Tamers episode that is always the best standalone episode.

I wonder how many times I've linked to this video over the course of this thread. Not enough, clearly.

Tamers is tough for me to rewatch because it's not as strong moment-to-moment as the other seasons, IMO. It's an amazing work of fiction as a whole, but what makes it good is how gradually the characters develop over the span of the season; to appreciate it, you do need to commit to watching several episodes in a row.

On the flipside, I find myself rewatching 02 episodes a lot because they're largely self-contained. It's definitely one of the weaker seasons, but it is (again, IMO) the season that has the most fun with itself and its characters in 22-minute isolated storylines. Adventure is a bit more structured than 02, but still loose enough (especially early on) that individual episodes are easy to digest and appreciate in a half-hour timespan. Savers, meanwhile, has a lot of scenes that are very rewatchable because of the spectacle rather than the story, as does Xros Wars.

The end result is that Tamers is one of the seasons I watch the least, despite it being my absolute favorite of the bunch.

I'm the kind of guy who never just watches a random episode from the middle of a series so I guess I've never had that problem. The most I do is watch clips from things like jokes or fight scenes from the middle of the series (I've watched Ash VS Olympia so many times...).

If I go back to watch something, its either a very specific scene (ex. Lordgenome vs Simon) or the whole thing beginning to end. Almost always to show someone else.

The Tri dub cast has been completed — Josha Seth is returning as Tai, while Cherami Leigh is playing Biyomon (and Maki — Kate had been miscredited, she's just playing the kittymons).

I'm still confused by the ending of Episode 9. Did the rainbow have something to do with Growlmon's devolution or was that just pure coincidence? I also wonder why it took Growlmon longer to devolve than Gargomon and Kyuubimon.

I also believe the SoL stuff only lasts about ten episodes which is good because I'm really wanting some plot now.

So it looks like even with the shorter episodes, they are keeping to the original count. That's gonna be a big problem in terms of length. They got 54 episodes to go through. It's gonna take forever if they do every ep.

That being said, there might be some stuff they can clip out, and maybe they can combine some eps later.

I loved how a lot of characters were lamp shading how little sense the digital world seems to make. Especially since that's something the kids themselves were doing in the beginning of the series.

Super Smart TK is gonna provide some interesting jokes.

And I am 100% okay with that because this is amazing. After all, DBZA is over 50 episodes so why can't this be over 50 episodes?
