Almost all of the dub cast has been revealed, https://hero-club.com/2016/07/19/digimon-adventure-tri-full-cast-almost-revealed/, so the dub actors returning are Agumon, Gabumon, Garurumon, Sora, Birdramon, Izzy, Tentomon, Kabuterimon, Gomamon, Mimi, Palmon, Togemon, Patamon, and Angemon. Tai's voice actor has said that he'll come back if they ask him to and if the fans work hard to make it known they want him back so unless they didn't ask him back (which given that they apparently asked everyone else's to come back) he'll probably return as well.

I found out Digimon Confession is going to have a Pre-Screening Event on August 19th, for more details http://digimon-adventure.net/news/#news2016072901. Or just look on tumblr, since it's in Japanese. Though why we have to watch the sub on the same day as the official release?

September 24th for the official release, and August 19th for the pre-screening that only happens for one night at one place for two different times.

So it's been Tai and Matt, Mimi and Joe, and now Izzy and T.K.

That leaves Kari and Sora. And if I remember correctly, there were supposed to be 6 of these movies, which means the next two will probably start explaining shit.

All I know is, Ladydevimon better return. It's not adventure if she and Angewomon don't fight (and there's a possibility of both of them evolving.... no wait. That's right. I keep forgetting that Adventure Gatomon / Tailmon will probably become Holy / Magnadramon instead of Ofanimon. So my Lilithmon vs Ofanimon dream is still dead).

Then I suppose I'll just settle for Angewomon vs Ladydevimon round three.

Man am I ready for that. Also curious where things will go shipping-wise for those two. Plus, it'll be nice to see more character interactions.

Infected Patamon... what if TK's worried he becomes a Devimon?

Is that how it works?

I mean, so far all the infected Digimon have stayed in whatever form they had. Only Meikyumon has been the exception, and she may be atypical.

Speaking of Meikyumon, while the first set of movies and the ending of this one would imply she (or is it he?) is the source of the infection, do we know that for sure? There are still a lot of mysteries about the whole thing.

Meikyumon just plain evolved, I think.

I dunno if that's how it works, but knowing TK, it's something he might worry about.

Oh. I didn't realize he (she?) just evolved. I suppose the infection forced it.

You know, considering Patamon has some pretty hax powers due to T.K's crest, maybe he'll turn out to be immune. Then again, random hax powers are slightly more Kari's thing (and I can see her using said random light powers to cure infected at some point too).

The smartest thing anyone has ever said in this series.

Also, the vague wording on Reboot means that we might be one step closer to our Tribellion Story.

And since they're going to the Digital World, would they begin to wonder where Davis and the others finally went? With how they haven't addressed them, I'm starting to think they already knew they were dead and that their deaths was just a flashback.

So I finally realized two things regarding Patamon ( beyond the fact that he's infected):

1) He's not evolved into Seraphimon in that poster (which is pretty obvious, but I never really paid enough attention to that kind of shit.

2) Takeru and Patamon have always received their new powers last.

I'm annoyed at myself for not realizing this. It would have been way too obvious to have them on the poster of the last movie, so they put them up here to throw us off (or me. I'm sure everyone else noticed).

So whatever happens in this film, we won't be seeing Patamon evolve. That much is clear.

TK has the crest of hope, so Patamon can only reach his untapped forms when all hope seems lost. To get there, everybody else needs to fail when they're already at their best, so that there's no other option but to hold out for a miracle. With that in mind, we're not going to see Seraphimon at least until movie #5.

What's interesting, though, is that Seraphimon has a reputation as a jobber throughout the franchise (as he drastically underperformed in Frontier and V-Tamer 01). If they kept the "Leomon always dies" thing for tri, I wonder if they'll go the "Seraphimon always loses" route as well.

I would say he will probably be quite impressive during his first appearence, but his op will start to wear off afterwards because he can't overshadow the others in their own movies. After all, everbody will have to debut as megas at some point.

Maybe his character arc will start in the next movie, but it will only be concluded during the fourth or something. That would be why his mega is not in the poster, they are probably saving it to appear with Tailmon's.

They still have their crests? Does this retcon the Brave Tamer games where they sacrificed them then?

I found out something during the video, at 1:13 Togemon is fighting against Metalgreymon is this what Joe means friends fighting against each other?

They might not have their physical crests anymore, but they still embody the traits that were assigned to them.

Also, the crest symbols do still show up in the new evolution sequences, so make of that what you will.

Maybe someone (coughmattcough) had it with Tai's hesitance and invoked a civil war.

Digimon: Civil War.

Izzy: I'm just saying we should weigh all our options, cause the Digimon that bite at you usually wind up biting at me too.
