....Those are some pretty superficial similarities.
....That last one though...
One Strip! One Strip!Quartzmon absorbed the Earth, not the universe. Oddly enough, that's what Galacticmon tried and failed to do.
Quartzmon also failed to do that, since he never became Gaiamon.
Let's see if you can get past my Beelzemon. Mephiles, WARP SHINKA!Well that just means Quartzmon isn't part of the Gaiamon branch.
Stella ~Part 3 (Atelier Shallie)Sorry, but if we are really comparing Quartzmon to a giant spacecraft thing that is also a Kill Sat, I will take the second option. I wonder what he would have become if he actually managed to merge with the planet like the former. Meanwhile, while Quartzmon is impressive on its own right, it also left something to be desired and just can't be compared.

Quartzmon is also basically a weaker D-Reaper which makes the fact it required the help of all the characters from each season to beat weird.

Quartzmon got a lot farther then D-Reaper did.
I mean, the D-Reaper only destroyed the digital world, and while it absorbed a lot while in the real world, I don't re-call it getting past Japan (guess I'l need to check again).
Quartzmon took the entire planet, even humans, which D-Reaper hadn't managed to absorb.
One Strip! One Strip! The D-Reaper didn't even completely destroy the Digital World, though that may have had something to do with the Sovereigns holding it off. It had also spread itself to several points in the human world by the end. It had these huge arcing structures that connected it together. I seem to recall something about it trying to melt the polar ice caps, but it's been a while since I've seen it so I'm not sure.
The D-Reaper didn't manage to take the entirety of the digital world, but it did spread through the vast majority of it by the time it was defeated. On the other hand, the red blob of death actually started to appear in areas outside of Japan as well and it never intended to literally fuse with the planet like these guys, it was supposed to spread to destroy everything it touched.
On the other hand quartzmon didn't actually affect the digital world at all, since the only digimon it absorved were the ones inside the digi-quartz, and considering how quickly locomon was able to travel around the world and back, Xros Wars Earth is a bit smaller than our moon. Besides, quartzmon was much, much easier to defeat than the D-Reaper, even considering the power of the six heroes used.
And I personally I think quartzmon is one of the good things about hunters, .

Actually, Quartzmon being defeated makes sense.
That was the power of the strongest heroes of 4 other worlds (with two of them coming from the same one), all focused into one spot, then merged with Arresterdramon Superior Mode.
Now, if the series hadn't been so sloppily done, they could have built him up a bit more, but as things go, I can buy them beating him.
I won't even criticize Tagiru over it.
One Strip! One Strip! The Locomon episode in Hunters is so filled with logical flaws, it is better to not think too hard about it and you definitely shouldn't use it as a way to measure the size of the human world in Xros Wars.

The problem with the D-Reaper is that despite the fact you can destroy its agents (that can be easily replinished), you just can't fight the advance of the thing itself just by using raw power and that's what makes it such a big threat Quartzmon just can't be compared.

Its apples and watermelons. Quartzmon is, at the end of the day, a digimon. The D-Reaper is an abstract thing that resulted from something that was never supposed to be physical becoming physical.
Mega Man fanatic extraordinaireThis is true.
I think it's safe to say they were pretty powerful within the context of their own series, and we should leave it at that.
One Strip! One Strip!New trailer for confession is out, now I'm really worried about Patamon considering he is showing signs of infection, I saw Ken's D-3 in the trailer, and the group, except Meiko, is going to go to the digital world, I think, seems like the sypnosis is right.
Edit: I found the translation for the trailer.
Edit 2: Subs are out link here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HysIJmzTEkM

I just finished Tamers (except the movies). It's definitely tied with Adventure for my fave season.
"Strategy? Spacing? I just keep punching until I hit something." - Sol BadguyOh good. I was hoping they'd end up going to the digital world. At least by the third act in Confessions. Its not 100% necessary, but I want it.
Mega Man fanatic extraordinaireSoo... If someone is interested in this Digimon Universe project going on, They just revealed a few character designs here is a video with some info on it.

(Also this new anime will be airing in october)
"Death's vastness holds no peace. I come at the end of the long road—neither human, nor devil... All bends to my will." -Demifiend.Nortonmon is gonna be a Digi Knight, but will be a Knight Templar as per Strictly Formula
The Royal Knights as a group have been complete for a while. There's no room for any new ones.
One Strip! One Strip! The designs are a lot more creative than a lot of the "starter" Digimon we've seen, though I hope the emoticons (if they're 'mons in the first place) won't be as obnoxious as Starmon from Xros Wars.
So I just figured out that there's parallels to the Madoka characters and the main female Destined concerning Tri.
