I'd like to know where you heard that from.
One of the dub's writers said he wrote them as gay IIRC.
Where there's your problem.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!It was a joke.
That's not how jokes work.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!I was just making a joke about a tongue-in-cheek Word of Saint Paul proclamation, geez.
Tentomon's dub voice does sound rather Camp Gay, I guess, but I never got that sort of vibe from dub Izzy. In fact, dub Izzy very clearly had some sort of uncomfortable physiological reaction to the Lady Devimon catfight, so...
Rob, I am at the LadyDevimon and Angewomon fight and you would probably love it in the Japanese. After LadyDevimon swings Angewomon around by her hair and tosses her away, Angewomon ignores AtlurKabuterimon who caught her, charges LadyDevimon, and screams (according to my subs) "It's no now, bitch!" before slapping her.
The slap fight, by the way, is set to "Brave Heart" for maximum hilarity.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!I don't ship, but Mimix Koushiro/Izumi is fine by me.
Also, these last few episodes have some fantastic moments between the Chosen Children and their Digimon that I honestly think is the best part of the show. Sadly, they also contain a lot of Deus ex Machina.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!So what's your ideal English voice cast for Tri? I know for sure I want Joshua Seth to reprise his role as Tai.
My ideal voice cast is for the original cast to reprise their roles as much as possible. Don't have any ideal cast for the new characters.
I can agree with that. People tend to dismiss the Dark Masters arc because the villains aren't as interesting as Myotismon was, and they're not wrong about that, but those episodes did have some of the most pivotal moments for the kids' character arcs - especially for Joe and for Mimi.
In particular, Joe's character arc was one of my favorites in the entire series, and the meat of it comes during and after Puppetmon's story arc. I'm eager to find out where that goes in Tri, given what we saw in Reunion and especially because of the poster for the next moviesode.

Puppetmon was actually somewhat interesting to me because he was almost sympathetic by the end of his arc. I couldn't help but pity him despite being a murderous Psychopathic Manchild.
Man, I just can't care for Apocalymon. He just comes out of nowhere, spouts some nonsense about evolution, then dissolves the Chosen Children so they can have their "The power was inside us all along" moment.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!I've actually seen the Japanese version yeah. I remember laughing at the subbers choice of translation for Angewomon's line.
It's truly the greatest thing in anime history.
In fact, I'm gonna go and watch that ep all over again. Thanks for reminding me.
Edit: And now I'm in a good mood. You know, I keep forgetting that Zelenal is apparently watching the series for the first time.
I watched the dub first before seeing the raw version years later, then the Malaysian English dub (boy is that bad) and then the English sub.
It's quite an experience.

One Strip! One Strip! No, I watched the show when I was a kid years and years ago. I just missed a lot of it and decided I wanted to rewatch it because of Adventure tri. I decided to watch it in Japanese in order to get used to hearing it for tri and because of "Butter-Fly" and "Brave Heart".
By the by, I've finished the season. This show absolutely cannot do dramatic fights. The best one was LadyDevimon VS Angewomon. That aside, that goodbye sequence was truly tear jerking even though I knew that they would meet again one day (unlike Tamers were, according to the audio dramas, they never did). I almost lost it when the piano cover of "Butter-Fly" started up and again when the lyrical version started playing. The fact that the last song in Adventure (discounting the way too upbeat ED) was also the song that ended the very first movie was a nice touch.
Now it's on to tri.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!Soo... I made some major progress in World 2.
I like how File City actually has the same music that had in World 1.
And i find kind of funny that my team is composed mostly of digimons wich in a normal series would be bad guys, wich are.
Vampire (Myotis/Vamdemon)
2 Demonic humanoid squids (Marinedevimon)
Humanoid Tank (Tankmon)
And a... Spherical cyborg thingy (Metalmamemon)
"Death's vastness holds no peace. I come at the end of the long road—neither human, nor devil... All bends to my will." -Demifiend.So I kinda lied. It wasn't on to tri, it was on to Our War Game.
Overall, I wanna say that I liked the movie but it was very weak. From a lore perspective, the only thing that actually worked is WarGreymon and MetalGarurumon's Jogress into Omegamon. The emails slowing them down isn't right, redirecting the emails to Diablomon isn't right (especially from a technological standpoint), Taichi and Yamato being able to enter the Digital World isn't right, the fact that the Digital World is separate from the Internet et al isn't right; I don't think anything else is right in this movie. Also, the only ones who seemed in character are Koushirou, the Digimon, and Takeru. The fact that Sora only got four lines and three of them were just "Taichai baka" kinda sucked.
Despite all that, I honestly enjoyed it. The fact that it only had about 40 minutes of run time really hurt it, though, and Summer Wars is a much better film.
I will give it a few things, though. The action was a lot better than most everything in show and Taichi gets some absolutely hilarious reaction shots.
Now it's on to tri.

Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!Welp! I just watched tri and was going to post my thoughts on it but I lost Internet access right as I went to post it so my post got eaten. I'll just summarize since I don't feel like typing all that out again.
The new animation is nice but I think I prefer the original art style. The fights are now much more dynamic, which is good, but the lack of Calling Your Attacks is weirding me out. The new evolution sequence is neat but it makes the Adult level Digimon super deformed and look stupid. The moments between the Chosen Children and their Digimon are still the high points. I really don't care for Taichi's character "development" in this at all. The subs are absolutely horrendous for a lot of reasons so I don't want to comment too much on the story since I can't trust them. The writers are evil since they know very much about the fandom split over who Sora should be with and played that up. Koushirou's crush on Mimi is really cute. If Takeru and Hikari don't end up together by the end, I'm never forgiving the writers. Alphamon was really cool but he's just kinda there right now. I don't care about Meiku and Meicoomon is too much like Culumon right now. I was surprised to discover that Our War Game is apparently canon.
Overall, I really don't know how to feel about about Adventure tri but I currently believe that Adventure 99 is better.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!tri is set to be six movies; it's kind of difficult to say definitively whether adventure 99 is better simply because tri isn't done yet.
That's why I said "I currently believe." I was comparing the start of tri strictly to the start of Adventure 99. I'll have to wait and see whether or not I think which is better overall.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!
I thought Izzy and Tentomon were gay?
