visuals aren't always about budget. you don't really get better animation merely by putting money into it. sailor moon's animators might just not be that good or the scheduling means the work is sloppy.

To make them look like monsters, well it's mostly an artifact from when someone actually cared about that little element.
What confusing feelings I'm having, missing the time Hiroshi&Yabuno were penning Digimon, bewilderment that a Digimon Adventure show is eating into the budget of a Sailor Moon show in 2015... Thankfully Dragon Ball GT is a much mocked failure so I doubt TOEI will be going back to that well without Toriyama soon.

We still don't know what will happen with the 02 kids. I really do wonder if they were just cut out.
A movie series was unexpected, but I hope it will work out. Alphamon makes his first animated appearance since the X Evolution movie. I think that's most of the royal knights. There are only a few left who haven't been animated, and I think most of them have been made too. I'll have to check again to see who's left.
Well, lets see how this plays out.

Well given that the few lines imply an AU or time fuckery and the first movie is called "Reunion" I wouldn't be surprised if it turns out the movies take place in a world where 02 never happened and part of the plot involves altering times that 02 did happen.

There is also an English version of the website so I'm going to assume that it'll get an international release.
And they've been hyping it in English since the beginning, so it would be odd if the didn't.
Dunno how they'll get it to us in a timely way if it's going to be a theatrical series, though.
I'm a bit disappointed we won't be getting a series. I hate that I have to wait nearly a year to see it subtitled.
I am more disappointed with the fact we were expecting to get another season for nearly an year, only for it to turn out to be something else at the last minute than the fact Tri is made of 6 OVA's.
Usually I would be happy with getting any new stuff to watch, but they really should have been more clear about the content of Tri instead of making us believe we were going to get a seventh season for nearly one whole year.
I am still going to watch it and hope it is a success, maybe they feel more motivated to make a proper seventh season in the future if that happens, but still. Not cool, Toei!

Animation does look damn good. Just wish it wasn't probably being pulled from Sailor Moon Crystal's budget.
