All Purpose Naruto Fanfiction Thread

Especially if they think their information about the future is reliable when in reality it stopped being reliable long ago.

How about a Sakura Peggy Sue fic? Sasuke's last act to her wasn't that genjutsu, he legitimately stabbed and killed her. She gets thrown back into her just graduated self, and promptly proceeds to continue to fawn over Sasuke because she is unaware that no means no (or being killed means he's just not that into you). She treats Naruto marginally better but ends up reverting to how she acted around him at 12 since he is still an annoying little shit.

She never does anything to change history because her thought process is basically "Will Sasuke-kun care?" She also randomly breaks out her future skills, not because her team needs them at the time, but because she wants to show off. Sakura later goes with Sasuke to Sound despite his protests, and is killed by Orochimaru in a combination of trying to activate Sasuke's Mangekyo and not needing random morons on his payroll.

10/10 story or what?

That's exactly how Kishi would write it, except because he would make Naruto randomly swing in and save Sakura at the end of it. Which she'll never be thankful for, of course.

I don't usually do this, but with Naruto being finished, and my ability to actually push through a chapter dwindling, and the excess of ideas that I'm simply not going to work on anytime soon, I'll put this here.

This, is a Google Doc, listing the summaries and concepts for '''almost every'' Naruto fic idea I've come up with since I picked up the series.

This was the Word Document I used whenever I had an idea and didn't have the time to make another folder for it (and thus, some of the crappier ideas are here). The whole thing is posted AS-IS, I haven't tidied it, for convenience I would put dashes and indent paragraphs so that I could tell which ideas were a part of what, and sometimes not even that. Some were posted twice because I had the same idea later.

Alright, you get it, it's a sloppy, first draft-ish ordeal. Read at your own peril.

Some are outlandish, some will disgust you - these aren't censored, these are pure concept, spoilers and all, where I wanted to go with the idea, etc. Some are bad parodies, some were thesible crossovers, or references to other anime. Nearly all of them I wanted to have a dark twist somewhere, even if the introduction of a foreign element went without real explanation, the effects it would have on the universe would be taken quite seriously (for instance, Fissure Kiss of Fate).

But there's quite a few lodged in there, some I really wanted to go with, some I'm still writing and have basic outlines for. Some of the ones I still like:

• "Godruto", a plot bunny I had in response to the number of "God Naruto" fics. This one was about a godly Naruto who ended up reduced to mortal, and would follow his attempts to Overlord his way up in the canon universe, while his harem tried to get him back. Still want to do this one, just need to see some more cliches to stuff into Godruto.
• I Am Pain, Leader of Akatsuki - Pain walks straight up to Tsunade and surrenders, and I would've had a really funny reason for his sudden surrender. Want to do it, but not sure if it should be a oneshot or a full story.
• Fissure Kiss of Fate - The image of Naruto and Sasuke kissing seemed to be a 'thing' whenever flashbacks came up, and I thought, "Wouldn't it be funny if this somehow triggered their Fated Family powers?" Eh.
• Flash Forward - I got this from the TV show, and I really liked the idea of Naruto and Sasuke realizing how terrible/awesome their lives become later on. I also took an idea from the show, about two people (Haku/Zabuza in this case) who see two years into their future and see "nothing" (a la, they're destined to die), and I thought I could work in some interesting drama from them about that.
• American Naruto - was my idea from long, long ago to rewrite the entirety of Naruto in the vein of American Mc Gee's Alice, making everything Darker and Edgier (yes, yes laugh). Originally I wanted to rewrite Naruto as a "realistic ninja world", and I was doing a lot of research on ancient japan, and the myths behind ninja and what they were purported to do, ancient battle tactics, samurai armor, etc etc. I was close to just saying "no more chakra/transformations/substitutions, everybody has to wear disguises and f'ck the Rasengan, no more shounen stuff, fireballs hurt people". Then I saw that scene from the anime where Kakashi catches two shuriken on his fingers and realized, "Naruto isn't fun if you don't have chakra/badass superhuman moments like those". And American Naruto didn't seem like a very good title.
• Gentle Fisted - Hinata time travel story. At the time I thought of it, I was convinced most time travel fics focused on Naruto or Sasuke, so I wanted to write one from the perspective of someone different, someone meek, someone with a good heart who would want to change things. Also, I thought Gentle Fisted was a funny-sounding title. I'm immature.
• Genjutsu World - Ever since I saw Road to Ninja, I really wanted to write out what that world was like and how it would function, because the movie did a shit job at that. It's impossible for the Aburame to function if they keep spraying their insects, or Kiba to fight alongside Akamaru when they both hate each other. Yes, it wasn't supposed to work, but I wanted it to work, make these juxtapositions deeper somehow. Explore how Sasuke could actually be a happy manwhore, how Naruto would be named Menma and get along with Kurama, and to create my own Genjutsu Sakura since the movie chose not to. Plus, a good-aligned Akatsuki. I still want to write this one actually. And with the Akatsuki being the good guys, would the Sannin and perhaps the Hokage themselves be the bad guys?
• Copy Ninja Kakashi, One Thousand Ryo - AU where Kakashi ended up jooining the Akatsuki rather than becoming Team 7's captain. Sure Obito might have issue with it, but a ninja of Kakashi's skill would certainly benefit the organization, and this was a point when Kakashi was at his moral lowest. The title was supposed to be a reference to Kakashi's In-Universe bounty in the bingo book, as a member of the Akatsuki. Didn't take the time to look up Japanese currency either.
• Terror - This one I posted here a long time ago, part of it. Team 7 would be dealing with childhood traumas more physical than their current ones, but the only one I could think of at the time was sexual abuse. And then the narrative would hint at each instance through... something. I don't know, I planned to study childhood traumas and write them as believably as possible. Yet another study session that didn't come to fruition. The summary's pretty crude in hindsight. I was reading People Lie at the time and really wanted to be edgy with Naruto, and write a story about them gradually getting over it moving past their issues.

In hindsight, the film was a lot more appealing because we still didn't have a clear picture of what Infinite Tsukuyomi was, and we could base our own ideas off of what the film depicted. The whole premise is that Obito, somehow, initiates the "Limited Tsukuyomi", which is sort of the Fanfiction HD version of Tsukuyomi where the user doesn't have any control over what the victims do. In it, all of Naruto's friends were made into their pure opposites for... no adequately explained reason.

Sasuke was back in the village and Naruto and Sakura are sort of "eh?" about it. Shino doesn't like bugs (yet is still a ninja), Kiba loves cats (and yet is still a ninja with a dog). Hinata is now an Alpha Bitch (And I can't wait to re-watch the English version and hear Stephanie Sheh pull that one off), Ino is a nice girl (basically an even moe-er Hinata, Sai is a bad artist, Lee can't do anything, and Tenten is bad with weapons (and yet, she's still a ninja).

Sakura doesn't exist (because they threw her into a tie-in episode of the anime, where she disappears without any explanation), or rather, she takes the place of her duplicate who, for whatever reason, is the daughter of the village hero. Naruto fills in for his duplicate who left the village for no explained reason and became evil for no explained reason.

It had potential as a bizarro universe, but... to say they dropped the ball would be an understatement. Like why did Obito even bother doing all of that? In all that time, he could've just Dexter Morgan'd Naruto back to base rather than watch him and Sakura progress through the world.

EDIT: Oh, and Chouji was serious and thin I think, and Shikamaru was dumb as a brick (but still a jonin).

It's pretty ok when it was focusing on character hijinks, but that was 10% of the movie at best. The action was pretty meh. The worst bit is the whole starting segment is basically "Shit on Naruto because he's a bit mopey about being an orphan with no family who's lived alone for about ten years", even Iruka gets in on this if I'm remembering right, then there's the plain retarded bit by Sakura who says something to the effect of, "I wish my parents were dead like yours, Naruto, Sasuke would understand".

I had this idea for a Naruto fan fic after reading some of the recent posts in the main thread.

• The setting is essentially Konoha at some point which is not in a current crisis, set in part II of the manga.
• A recent spat of ninja's writing stories about other ninja's has recently started. Of course many of these are about romantic escapades.
• Naruto is with Hinata (make some excuse / maybe a short mission or something) when they find out about a bunch of Naru Hina stories being written, like the fluffy kind, not the smutty kind.
• Naruto is outraged on behalf of Hinata, and because she frankly can barely communicate with Naruto when thinking about them in a relationship, isn't able to stop him initially from dragging her around town to find the culprit.
  • Optional: Hinata has been writing a bunch of really smutty Nara Hina stories.
• Hinata then seizes the chance to be close to Naruto, tagging along on his righteous crusade.
• Eventually after many mishap's and bonding they finally find the culprit of the stories. NEJI! Who apologizes. Naruto by this point, after some realizations and a fun day spent with Hinata, askes her on a date on the weekend / next day.
• Happy ending.
• However he final scene of the story ends with Neji reporting to a mysterious figure. The true writer and instigator of the plot who replies with "Just according to keikaku."

Speaking about alternate universes...

I just had this idea in which Konoha is basically Pandora, and is known worldwide as the village of the crazies. Cue replacing the fodder nin with Psychos, Marauders and Bruisers, and Konoha's preferred Modus Operandi to "keep blowing shit up until there's no more shit to be blowed up".

The former leader of cloud must have been ballsy as fuck to try kidnap Hinata, and the entire village must have been pissing themselves with fear that Hisashi's corpse was some hind of bio-nuke.

You have to be ballsy as fuck to wander into Konoha in the first place, regardless of your intentions. Everything will try to kill you at least once.

Incidentally, Konoha nin are the most badass motherfuckers in the world.

How badass are they? Unlike everyone else, they don't use 'genin', 'chunin' and 'jounin', they use "Badass", "Super Badass", "Ultimate Badass" and "Master X the Invincible", where X is someone's given name. Basically, the equivalent to Genin, Chunin, Jounin and Hokage. The 'fodder nin' are just mooks and don't get titles. Everyone knows they're gonna die ignoble deaths anyway. Nobody cares.

I imagine that since the entire village is insane Oro would never have had to leave, leaving him free to produce the most twistedly badass experiments ever conceived.

So what level are the civilians on?

Civvies are civvies. They're insane, yes, but not particularly dangerous because of it.
