Unfortunately I've never watched an episode of Kamen Rider. The only person I think might have is Handsome Rob.

Skull Man isn't from Kamen Rider. Its the material that inspired the creation of Kamen Rider, more or less.

I know that. But the page I linked to has the most in-depth info on Skull Man’s powers I could find even if it is from the Kamen Rider wiki.

It's official: the blue-eyed, brown-haired, sword-wielding Caucasian boy who can fly... is going to win.

This is probably one of my favorite previews they've done in a while, between taking up the game's mantle on the Sequel Gap jokes and the Blue Apron Self-Deprecation at the end.

From the sounds of things I don't think Pit is getting the Three Sacred Treasures, though; which is probably going to tip things greatly in Sora's favor.

That wouldn't make any sense for him not to get them or the Great Sacred Treasure. Its not like he requires Palutena to use them.

Summons are probably off the table since they count as assistance and Death Battle 1 vs 1,a pity really.

I fail to see how. Sora's never handled anything on the power of the Great Sacred Treasure on his own, with his own power and abilities.

As in no Nobody Spaceship like when he fought Xemnas' Dragon alongside Riku. No Drive Forms. And no World of Chaos either. Sora's NEVER fought something as powerful as the Great Sacred Treasure.

80 percent of the Nobody Spaceship/Dragon was Sora, and he still fights a good number of similar opponents. Cutscene-wise, Riku doesn't play much of a role in destroying those opponents either. Gameplay-wise, Sora is the only one who can actually kill them. Even if we did say Riku helped I doubt there's any way to distinguish Sora's contribution to fighting the giant Nobody spaceship in zero gravity while flinging buildings and smacking Xemnas in the face.

Sora's Drive Forms are debatable as they can be seen during cutscenes in which Donald and Goofy are still physically present. We don't see any significant difference in his strength or speed due to what his Reaction Commands allow him to do, with or without Drive Forms - the only differences I recall were his Wisdom Form bullets, and his triple-wielding in Final Form. Roxas can dual-wield so I'm not really certain why Sora couldn't since Roxas is his doppelganger.

Sora has deflected lasers that I'm certain Boom and Wiz will calculate makes him stupid fast given how he was penned in, and even with Riku helping him they were still deflecting rapid fire lasers from all directions for about a minute until Xemnas got tired for some reason.

But ignoring those things, Sora has an answer to the GST: the Gummi Ship.

And then if they give him the feat of beating Sephiroth (or fighting him to a standstill at least) that's a whole other story.

With the Great Sacred Treasure they're probably just ignoring because it's an 11th-Hour Superpower explicitly built just for Hades, and during the battle he still manages to destroy it anyways. I know Death Battle tends to flip-flop between whether those are valid for someone's arsenal or not, but it isn't like Pit ever took the GST for a spin against something other than Hades.

Three Sacred Treasures are a bit iffier, given he's shown using them for the entirety of Super Smash Bros. Brawl's ambiguously-canon story but in the Kid Icarus games proper they're situational-use items that Pit doesn't always take into battle with him. I don't see why not give them to Pit though, I don't think they'd tip things enough to take the battle out of Sora's favor. Just close the gap a little.

EDIT: but they can't ignore the Great Sacred Treasure because Dyntos EXPLICITLY made it clear that the GST was integrated into Pit's body so he can call on it all on his own. Even if its just used for the final battle of the game, the battle's long enough PLUS you've got the boss battle with the GST itself to draw feats for.

Death Battle has used 11th Hour Superpowers before a whole lot, and tends to take the strongest possible version of any character (to the point that Sephiroth was stronger than he's ever been at any single point due to his abilities being compiled together).

I need to replay Uprising, too much of the game's details are escaping my mind.

Just check footage of the Final Boss fight. Right at the beginning Pit says "Great Sacred Treasure...ACTIVATE" and it appears right then and there for him to board.

His friends really aren't his power. They're important to him, but they aren't vital to his fighting skills.

And this is more of a nitpick than anything else, but "backed by a goddess" doesn't really mean a whole lot. Sora has, on multiple occasions, defeated Hades, the God of Death. That statement, however, doesn't mean anything without clarifying what Hades is capable of.

People need to stop using gods as a power qualifier as if the title of godhood holds any consistent meaning in cross-media Versus discussions.

Yeah, using Disney Hades as an example of feats for Sora's kind of pointless since the only time Sora's ever faced Hades at his full power, he needed Hercules help to even touch him. The next best thing for Sora is that he's beaten the Ice Titan and the Rock Titan, but those aren't really canon.

Before I brush up on Uprising stuff, just want to figure one thing real quick.

I can see arguments for why Pit would have the Three Sacred Treasures or the Great Sacred Treasure, but is there any reason he'd have both? Keep in mind, the latter was created as a replacement for the former- by nature that'd make them mutually exclusive to use.

For the sake of canon? Nah, it wouldn't be possible. But for Death Battle that doesn't really matter too much.
