Summer of Shakespeare 2016 comes to an end.
It was 101° on the patio today, so I’ll give him a “bye” on that whole “Summer” thing.
Confirmed Bachelors: the dramedy hit of 1883!That movie looks pretty great. I'll have to look it up.
I’ve been passively curious about it for years, but its availability only as butchered bootlegs for years made it rather difficult to track down.
Confirmed Bachelors: the dramedy hit of 1883!Kyle returns with Holy Terror Motors, talking about the experience of making a film, the illusions of film, and the modern web video age.
And he's also today on this podcast by Shady Lady.
I'm honestly guilty of just watching the video and not checking the actual thing. I should probably look at a plot synopsis though yes.
New video on what it means to be a Civilization.
Kyle brings back a Blip classic, the Angels in America review.
Surprised that I hadn't watched in at all in the five years since. Fixed that now and am glad I did.
"Caligari to Hitler: Imagining the Tyrant", an apolitical video.
Well, that was disturbing. Especially at the end.
...I don't want Gozer to be President.
Oh God! Natural light!"I know Zuul, I have the best Zuul"
Make Babylon great again!
Despite my screen-name, ranting to you about One Piece is not my top priority.A Christmas movie for these uncertain times.
I've watched this movie, the themes are interesting but it can be really slow at times, it's kind of a shame that Kyle made a relatively superficial review (though he does say in the comments he didn't want to give too much away), but I found interesting the toxic masculinity take, I've never though about it that way, I've always saw it as a culture clash issue, then again toxic masculinity is inherently tied to culture.
I can't have you close, so I become a ghost and I watch you, I watch you.How it manifests, and I guess it's in most cultures, it's not naturally occurring.
The Arrival that seems interesting.
Kyle on our nation's capital in movies.
You and Kyle's nation's capital? . Lots of columns. My town doesn't appear on air or in the rare cases it might it is playing somewhere else not a lot of movies about the middle of nowhere BC shockingly, so not a lot of time spent pointing out inconsistencies in film.
Interesting to hear more about it, but the not a major cultural or population hub prior I think is at least somewhat common in the Americas. Why most people get confused about the capital of Canada, it being Ottawa (not the most significant place otherwise well besides the fact it has a university and a large bilingual library) not the largest city Toronto.
Though the city versus the stage and the politicians is fascinating to get into.

True. The confusion happens within the States too, with lots of folks mistaking the capital of California for Los Angeles or Hollywood, or the capital of New York as New York City, or the capital of Florida as Miami, or the capital of Illinois as Chicago...

Yeah and most people think the capital of BC is Vancouver, granted the fact it's Victoria (another V name) on Vancouver Island doesn't help matters.

what
but HOW?I have no idea what that movie is, does anyone else know?
Have you any dreams you'd like to sell?
Starts in early September here and I'm guessing where Kyle is considering if it was still warm where he was and the like he probably would have pointed that out, rather than the technical falling of the equinox, but yes it's winter in some places and some places it's hot enough to be still summer in September.
