Law and crime is a site that reports mostly on legal issues.
In this case, the person in question conspired to falsely accuse and report a crime.
What keeps this from being mere gossip is that the person who is the target is a public figure.
And, on top of that, the very act she was planning could undermine the strides we have made about victims of sexual harassment, sexual assault, and rape being able to come forward and be believed, in a very public manner that could induce rioting.
So, no, this isn't mere gossip anymore.

The tweet itself is real (seen it myself), but I'm genuinely not sure if it's a serious suggestion or just joking around. Either way, not a good thing to do as it gives more credibility to anyone saying "These women are just lying!" - not much, obviously, but still.

The website is publishing "one idiot that believes the Franken accusations weren't worth making him resign and who happened to be a Hillary supporter thinks it's a good idea to make false reports against Sanders. This goes viral on twitter between people calling out the idiot and other idiots agreeing" as if it was an intentional conspiracy by allies of Hillary Clinton to sunk Sanders before 2020 for... reasons? Even if the facts are correct, the amount of spin makes this a hoax.
