I hope It's for a Book.
(Sorry, but the title made it impossible not to say. More useful post to follow.)
I recommend checking out Fullmetal Alchemist (either version) if you haven't already. I thought Gluttony could be pretty creepy on occasion.
Also, might be worth looking into hungry ghosts.

Welcome To TV Tropes | How To Write An Example | Text-Formatting Rules | List Of Shows That Need Summary | TV Tropes Forum | Know The StaffThe Gluttons could just be human sized worms with tons of teeth, getting bigger as they eat more.
Just an idea.
Dreamkeepers Prelude, check it out!Well, they're build around eating. So expanded jaws so they can cram more into their mouths. Distended bellies from eating too much. Sharp teeth for slicing and such. Fork'n'Knife hands.
<(-_-<)(>-_-)> "FUSION HA"Maybe they incorporate parts of the stuff they've eaten into their physical appearance? Sorta like Noh Face, but more squicky.
Not sure if it would be narmy to have some of the parts retain their original sentience.
You could have them covered with mouths - top of the skull unhinges, huge mouth in the stomach, arms ending in blindly snapping, slavering jaws instead of hands, that sort of thing.
That would be the gluttons, obviously.
For imps like you describe, I picture them being very thin and bony, permanently hunched over and cringing, with tattered, dragging wings. Since they're cowardly, they could have some sort of camouflage reflex to blend into the surroundings, or be able to walk in and out of shadows (using the shadows like portals). How does "eats shame" work? If they eat your shame, do you have no more left and act shameless? Or can they only attack someone who shows fear?
Make them regenerative and have them either slit open their stomachs so they cna continue to eat more or vomit a foul mix of digested matter or digestive juices on things to corrode them.
This is this.People who're feeling ashamed radiate a certain energy, which imps are attracted to and feed off of. This does not harm the people in question, and they needn't even know the imps are present, carefully hidden. However, this does mean that imps find out a lot of shameful secrets, which help them in their duties as spies and messengers for the greater demons. (They don't attack directly unless they have to, although they often get attacked directly by either humans or pissed-off greater demons—they're sort of the Prinnies of this universe.)
Anyways, digging the idea of gluttons vomiting. Maybe they don't really need to eat, just to swallow, and what's left of their food always comes back up together with digestive juices. Unhinging jaws, claws like tines to spear and swallow . . . I can work with this.
Also, I'll have to consider the possibility of having imps naturally blend into the shadows.

So, I'm writing a demonic invasion. Problem is, I want four types of lesser demons, and I've only got sufficiently creepy descriptions for two of them. Anyone got a well of Body Horror to tap into? (Nick the Swing, here's the chance to strut your stuff!)
What I've got so far (skip if you're the tl;dr type):
The basics
Reapers
Tempters
What I'm trying to expand:
Gluttons. Third-rank demons, made from selfish souls. I have a vague idea that they're large Extreme Omnivores (eating physical rather than spiritual things), but I have no idea how to make that scary.
Imps. First-rank demons, made from cowards. All I've got for them is "small," "winged," and "eats shame."
