Support on our general revulsion of acronym titles.
Fight smart, not fair.Is the acronym overwhelmingly used for one versus the other in whatever discussion circles it comes up in?
The acronym tends to vary depending on which fan circle is doing the talking.
I agree that the acronym should be cut, in favor of Porn with Plot and Porn Without Plot.
...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.Whoa, that must make some discussions really confusing!
I have also heard it stand for Plot? What Plot? with or without the porn.
Reality is that, which when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away. -Philip K. DickTurn it into a disambiguation.
Fight smart, not fair.Support moving the page. We've had folks mistake the page for "plot what plot" — any work they deemed to lack a plot e.g. the crappy page image we just removed in Image Pickin'. The name Porn Without Plot will avoid that problem in future.
The thing about making a disambig is: where do we direct folks? To Porn Without Plot and... where? I don't think we have a general page for "any type of plotless work" and I don't figure we want one. Subjectivity and bashing honeypot.
We've got No Plot? No Problem!, etc but I don't think they correspond with the other meaning of PWP.

Swapped it. I also swapped the redirect Plot? What Plot?, but I think that should be cut, or pointed elsewhere, since it sounds more like Excuse Plot or one of the other, similar tropes.
I've heard Plot? What Plot? outside of the wiki in reference to works which don't even have an Excuse Plot.
To give an example, Super Smash Bros and Melee in the same series, even though they appear on the Excuse Plot page, really don't even give you -any- sort of explanation for the Crossover involving all these characters and why they are fighting each other, it's just there. There's not even the barest modicum of an explanation: no 'interdimensional tournament', no 'merging of worlds', just Mario and Link and Pikachu in a fighting game.
Brawl still doesn't explain the reason why these characters are all together but it does have a plot of itself, which sort of gives the feeling that the Smash Bros. universe is its own contained world.
I would assume that would be what Plot? What Plot? should refer to. I get the feeling that people consider this to fall under Excuse Plot but... I was under the impression that an Excuse Plot required there to be some bare explanation of story as an excuse for why whatever is happening is happening, no matter how flimsy, a work with literally -no given plot- would be Plot? What Plot?.

Want to rename a trope? Step one: if it ain't broke, don't fix it.<Mod Hat ON>
A Lock was requested on this thread. Is it resolved? Have the necessary changes been made? If the answer to either of those is "No" the thread doesn't get locked.

...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.It was already swapped with the redirect, but maybe PWP should be changed to a disambiguation page.
Yes, PWP needs to be a disambiguation. If you can tell me what it needs to point to, I can make it myself.
Fight smart, not fair.I created the disambiguation page, put it on the Ambiguity Index and switched the other indexes that still point to PWP to Porn Without Plot. We still need to fix the wicks.
Yeah, unwritten rule number one: follow all the unwritten procedures. - CamacanWicks rewritten.
Thank you for finishing it up. Pothole on Let's Play fixed.
Locking.

PWP is short for Porn Without Plot. Fair enough. But the exact same acronym can be used for the opposite, Porn with Plot.
