Get a retail version. Problem solved.
I have another problem though. A workmate ordered some special editions (I think it's the Freedom Edition) to sell them and offered me one for the same price he paid. I'm not sure whether to accept. On one hand, 100€ is a lot of money, on the other hand, the extras are pretty nifty and it's "just" 40€ more than I would pay, if I bought the normal version...
People aren't as awful as the internet makes them out to be.Retail prices are absurd in Australia.
I'll just dl it during offpeak hours or something, it's just a little inconvenient that's all.
The extras seem pretty swish and worth the money, from my end I don't have the equivalent of 40 Euros to spare, I could get a whole other game for that which I would personally value more than the extra stuff in AC 3's freedom edition but I guess it's just an issue of how strapped for cash you are and whether you have 40 Euros to spare.

You know, just like Arkham Asylum?
It's not over. Not yet.Now that is a good use for it. I suspect I will resort to the tried and tested methods most of the other times.

Huh. I guess it's a good way to start if you're on PS 3.
this place needs me hereWell, Already got all of them, so '3'
Very big Daydream Believer. "That's not knowledge, that's a crapshoot!" -Al Murray "Welcome to QI" -Stephen FrySame here. Still, nice for those who haven't jumped onto the franchise yet, but are interested. ...and on PS 3.
this place needs me hereWhat the hell is with these publishers, lately? Ubisoft does the Ezio Trilogy, and EA does the Mass Effect Trilogy right before Wii U launches, with its brand new market for these games, and neither takes advantage of it.
I'm frankly not surprised that they didn't set this for release on the Wii U yet.
AC 3 is getting special support for integrating the gamepad, AC 2-R haven't gotten that support.
But I do not understand why EA isn't re-versioning ME 1 and 2 for the Wii U, since they're already porting ME 3.
Very big Daydream Believer. "That's not knowledge, that's a crapshoot!" -Al Murray "Welcome to QI" -Stephen FryMicrosoft published the first Mass Effect, and they're only allowing it to be on PC and Xbox.
"Steel wins battles. Gold wins wars."Considering that the trilogy will also come out on PS 3, I highly doubt that.
People aren't as awful as the internet makes them out to be.Looks like Connor instigated the Boston Tea Party. Wanna bet that the Brit Templars were smuggling something into the colonies among the tea?
Jonah Falcon~Imagines an Apple being in the shipment~
...That would work out fairly well.
Yu hav nat sein bod speeling unntil know. (cacke four undersandig tis)the cake is a lie!No, because then it would be easy for the Templars to fish the Apple from the sea. And why would they bringing an Apple into the US? They'd try to sneak it out.
I'm betting advanced weaponry, which would be ruined by being immersed in sea water.

The Reaper Games starts anew.Which would imply that either he acquires it from Connor or Connor attempts to take it from him. It's hard to see, at any rate, how there could be an Apple and Connor not be involved with it somehow.
It's funny how Ubisoft seems to be going out of its way to ignore the Meta Plot in all of the marketing... almost to the point of absurdity.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"Maybe they want the new meta-plot developments to be a surprise. I'm really interested to find out what happens with the Grand Temple and Desmond's father.
"Steel wins battles. Gold wins wars."As much as I generally dislike the AC metaplot, I have to admit that I'm curious too.
People aren't as awful as the internet makes them out to be.I can't quite hear this one line in that Boston Tea Party trailer. Are they saying "there was another revolution, one that mattered?"
If true I'm assuming that means they're implying the American Revolution was rigged and essentially staged, presumably by the Templars?
Which isn't entirely unlike many other Templar plots, I'm just surprised it's implied in an offhand line after generally avoiding the Assassin/Templar war for the bulk of AC 3's marketing.

This image◊ makes me laugh.
There are two interpretations of this that make me laugh, but I doubt either of them are true.
1) All the guys that aren't Connor are working the same job, and the lad hanging by his leg "accidentally" fell, IE his friends tied his leg and threw him off. "Whoops! Thompson fell again!" "VERY FUNNY, LADS, NOW HELP ME UP."
2) they aren't all on the same job, and those guys are actually bandits/outlaws/whathave you. They tried to hang the guy... and instead got his leg. They get the award "You Tried."
