Does this page even exist?
Not sure about pulling. The caption explains the context, the image shows us how it seems (and is) useless and cool at the same time.

The words above are to be read as if they are narrated by Morgan Freeman.Ah, there we go...I really don't have much of a problem with the current pic, despite it kinda being JAHAAC.
I can't believe it never occurred to anyone to use an image of the Mann Co. Store from Team Fortress 2, which sells overpriced nonexistent kitsch to fanboys with disposable income.
I TELL YOU HWAT!It sure never occurred to me. I have no idea what that is.
The words above are to be read as if they are narrated by Morgan Freeman.Siding with JFC. It's an example of the trope whose example-ness (i.e. the fact that it cost real money) isn't part of the image, whose caption also says "yes, this is an example".
An Ear Worm is like a Rickroll: It is never going to give you up.Do you live in a cave? Haven't you at least heard of Valve Software?
I TELL YOU HWAT!Heard of Valve. Never played the game in questions. Know nothing about it other than it's a shooter, and I hate shooters. So, I don't want to know anything about the game, because I'll probably hate it.
Reality is that, which when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away. -Philip K. DickMost people do in that respect. It's a pretty big cave.
I know of Team Fortress 2, but I seriously don't think many people outside the fandom know about Mann Co. But if you have images, please provide them, just in case.
The words above are to be read as if they are narrated by Morgan Freeman.Mann co. is a place to buy virtual weapons and - more importantly - virtual hats for your character in TF 2 (a recent news update described the game as 'some sort of war-themed hat simulator'). Here's the best I could find with a GIS◊. A crop of one of the items including price - like this◊ - could work, right?

This implies, quite correctly, that my mind is dark and damp and full of tiny translucent fish.Lovely GUI. But I digress.
Anyway, "killer's kabuto" sounds like a legitimately useful item, perhaps in a freemium sense. We can photoshop obviously useless item in, but we should keep looking first.
The words above are to be read as if they are narrated by Morgan Freeman.I serched for 'mann co. hats', and found this.◊
Here's◊ a crop I think is suitable. If it's too tall, we can just remove the top row.

This implies, quite correctly, that my mind is dark and damp and full of tiny translucent fish.I like that image. An average joe would see a picture of a virtual hat that costs $17.49 usd and instantly think it's overpriced. It makes sense even if someone hasn't played TF 2, unlike the last image which was too esoteric.

I TELL YOU HWAT!But you don't know what it does from that image. Maybe it makes you invincible. Maybe it prints you money. Just an image of the hat doesn't mean anything, I should think.
There has to be a TF 2 comic lampshading the Mann Co Store.
Well then feast your eyes on this◊.
I TELL YOU HWAT!There's nothing to say that it costs real money. It just looks like any videogame buy screen ever.
Reality is that, which when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away. -Philip K. DickAnd what would you prefer? The last image didn't imply it cost any money at all.
I TELL YOU HWAT!Not all tropes can be pictured.
Reality is that, which when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away. -Philip K. DickWell that's fine. You should have said so earlier. Who else agrees?
I TELL YOU HWAT!Mm...I think the way the images are formed makes it abundantly clear the digital bear costs real money—it's just, it doesn't tell you the bear doesn't do anything worthwhile. Maybe it's a bear DLC. Gives you an extra class. Who knows?
I like the comparison one◊. Clarify the uselessness further in the caption.
The words above are to be read as if they are narrated by Morgan Freeman.Or it could be a powerful weapon. I'm playing a game right now that uses a teddy bear as a weapon.
Reality is that, which when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away. -Philip K. DickI think we're on to something visually with being able to buy a teddy bear in an online-shooter.
How about this? Does this convey the disconnect between the money-making and the actual game?
(EDIT: +1 to current image is JAGHAAC and we can do better)

Glowey horse gives no sign. If it had a sale tag, it might work.
