Yeah, the expansion got 11 release candidates you can download and play (and help debugging and suggesting things along the way), with links posted on the forums and the IRC...but since it's not official release yet you can't gain achievements for it...shame, since I could have gained several myself...

Also, my fight with Dredmor is laughably easy...I open up with Bolt of WMD, then petrify him (battle geology is awesome), buff myself up...trade blows for few times after he broke out from that (Celestial Circle helps a lot, I'm going with tank build then...), then he teleported 2 times, 2nd time end up on the single tile artifact island, which he just sit there doing nothing, not even shooting back...so I just pummel him with my acid bolt and upgradedd throwing axe till he died...

People say that if you meet Dredmor while also facing loads of other monsters he can be difficult...I'm lucky then, I saw him when there's a single archdiggle between me and him, so I buff up with mushrooms and doing the above...

Nice expansion, I will probably buy it. As always the new skills sound interesting and seems that they will add more inventory space.

Seems interesting, but I hope it won't take an eternity for it to come out on Desura this time. That the free expansion isn't out there yet, doesn't fill me with confidence.

Me too.

Hey, look at a key feature!

Keep Gaslamp Games off of the streets! We're running out of matches to sell and will soon be forced to start gnawing on our own legs.

Do the new grafitti system works like the glyphs from Dark Souls or something like that?

No idea...although the magical ones give you text for opening the wizardlands portal properly...never ever put in the nonproper code...

They added a new class slot? I remember being six before.

As expected, the magic law class has Ace Attorney references grin Rune of OBJECTION! and Wrigth's irrefutable argument are just to easy to spot.

...Wow.

I haven't played this game in a while, and there's a shitton of new stuff.

I'm really digging clockwork knight. The type of character I usually play has both Smithing and Tinkering anyway, so...

Diggle hell is really hard I had a low level character (non permadeath) stuck there, the only reason it survived for a while was because it was a pyromancer with the pyromancer sumon and it spawned me in a 1 sqaure corridor with only one entrance, needless to say I had to delete the save after the game made an autosave there and giving up any chance of surviving.

Holy shit, guys.

So I've been playing the crap outta Clockwork Knight, and I discovered something awesome.

Augmented Limbs gives you probably a ~10% chance to "Clockwork Thresh" an enemy when you do a normal attack (or counterattack), which is really just a second attack.

But Clockwork Thresh can proc on itself.

I just took down a unique/champion enemy because it proc'd twice and my attack effectively did triple damage.

That sounds awesome I wonder if it can proc with atacks like the one using two weapons from dual wielding or the two attacks one dagger of daggers skills.

Daggers are awesome, the first stance pairs really well with artfull dodger +25 critical chance and +25 sneakines sure and the devouring wounds technique infests the enemie with thaumites then knightly leap if needed and if the enemy is an animal before leaping use the skill that leaves the enemie bleeding.

Also a tip for the wizardlands, if you put a code and the portal is red DO NOT enter. Red portals led to diggle hell and will most likely kill any low level character.

Amd the first dcharacter in a long time without archeology I found a lot of artifacts :|

It doesn't proc on dual wielding, unfortunately.

But the ability to proc on counters is fantastic. I've got Swords, Dual Wielding, and Piracy, which translates to all the counters. All of them.

Woah that sounds awesome. I read in the Gas Lamps forum that it proc with the dagger skill and can be chained grin And again daggers is awesome, get right besides a monster and crits, let them come close to you and crits. Critical hit on pretty much every hit evil grin

Does the rocket jump damage your character? I searched it in the wiki but it is not clear.

Yes, it does. Quite badly.

But if you stack fire resistance it can be useful.

And I really like my build.

  • Clockwork Knight
  • Swords
  • Dual Wielding
  • Piracy
  • Tinkering
  • Smithing
  • Alchemy

Clockwork Knight is my main skill, and I'm still leveling it up for all the different varieties of attacks it provides. Alchemy is my healing skill (for the potions), Swords and Dual Wield are my offense. Piracy contributes gems for Alchemy, and massive counterattack bonuses. Tinkering and Smithing obviously give me great gear, but they also add to the damage of Clockwork Knight skills, and Tinkering gives me trap radius/affinity.

It's a beautiful build.

My current build is semi random and one of my most successful so far (okay it is not permadeth but my only death come from trying from kill the clones in the wizardlands) it has:

  • Daggers
  • Artful Dodging
  • Psionics
  • Promethen Magic
  • Bulgary
  • Tinkering
  • Clockwork Knight

I have three levels in promethean magic for the wyvern to have a meat shield in early game, the rest of my points have been pumped into Artfull Dodger (maxed up) and Daggers (one level more to max it). The rest are all in the starting level.

I don't know into what skill I should pump my next few points.

That's an interesting bunch of skills.

I would recommend a level in Psionics next. The second level Psionics skill is so useful...

Alternatively, Tinkering. Because trap sight helps a bunch.
