It gets hilariously convoluted, you'll see. And the answer is no, it's not the Archer, but for a chapter or two we're led to think he did it.

Yeah, you can read the novels huh? So, what happens after Chapter 29? More negotiating shenanigans or the war gets more involved?
Same as usual.... Wing it.
The scans we have are behind by at least three chapters, if I remember right.
Well, the Chinese translations of I REFUSE are only up to that point right now, so yeah, you might be wrong. But I generally don't check out the other comic adaptation, so I'm not up to speed about the plot.
Same as usual.... Wing it.In chapter 28 of the manga, I think the absolute best thing is that epic smirk the Dragon King gave when he announced his support. You know, I'm not sure it's wise to meddle in the affairs of dragons in this world either...
By the way, I'm not reading anything here in spoiler tags, unless clearly marked, because I don't want to be spoiled.
Check out my fanfiction! While reading this chapter I was thinking that perhaps this was a plot by Maou to fish out the more radical elements, but it seems to be too serious for that.
Also, I'm surprised the old Blue Demon Clan leader didn't see his son's betrayal coming a mile off. It seems like almost second nature to them.

I think she just ended up using it that way; i.e. to find the radical elements.
as for the blues: I'm not even sure what the POINT of the betrayal was. It seemed like they knew he would be the best candidate for the next Maou, so I'm not sure what the point of offing his father was. I suppose it makes him head of the blue demon clan if he fails to become Maou. Still seems kinda dastardly for a minor improvement in fallback position.

Nah, it's simple really. The blues simply do not see the value of someone who doesn't hold a Seal to be the clan lord. When someone with TWO Seals is right there with them, why not off the non-Seal?
Same as usual.... Wing it.The seals only appear when a Maou is going to be chosen. So most clan lords wouldn't have them. Esp if blue became Maou, all he did was deprive his clan of their head.
That reminds me actually. I guess she did actually die, but came back. I suppose she's have to go through the selection contest again. Still, they already mentioned she can select a champion, so that should be pretty easy. Watching her beat blue boy by herself would be neat however. She never gets to do anything cool.
No, she didn't.
The seals appearing = demon king has died and needs a replacement would have NORMALLY been the case... except we're forgetting that, prior to this, the spirits of the past demon lords escaped after the Hero frees the current Maou from their influence. Remember? They swore revenge, scattered to find their 'candidates', and in the SAME chapter, we see big bad blue gain his seals.
It's a bluff that works because no one knows what exactly happened at the Maou's castle.
Something I've been wondering, how much did the anime cover from the novels? Or was it adapting from the manga? Which manga? Maoyuu's various iterations confuse me. What I'm trying to ask is, will we get a season 2, possibly?
"And you must be Jonathan Joestar!" - Sue
The anime adapts only up to the Maou and the Hero banishing the spirits of the past demon lords. Also it draws from the LN script rather than the more popular "Kotowaru!" manga.
Judging from the name of the second novel, I'd wager that the Anime is a compressed adaption of the first novel—or possibly only part of it. The various manga are also adaptions of the light novel.
There's certainly enough material for a second season, if that's what you're asking. As for if it'll be made...eh. Maybe.
It probably won't be.
Unless it is.
Fire, air, water, earth...legend has it that when these four elements are gathered, they will form the fifth element...boron.I figured that the old blue demon clan leader was intending to effectively rule by proxy through his son, which wouldn't sit well with the latter's ambitions.
What's annoying now is that legally, the selection of the new demon king has already taken place - the challenge time was already set and passed by. There is always the option of just having Yuusha kill him though.
Chapter 30 was finally released, although now another group is going to take it after this chapter.
Demon Queen wasn't dead, of course, it was all a trick in order to show the treachery of the Blue Demon clan. Blue Demon Seal King seems like he's a legitimate challenge though. Also, Hero's secret is out to the demonic leaders, and Archer is cool with everything, "He wouldn't kill anyone over a D cup!" apparently.
I think that for being the Archduke Fire Dragon, he sure is cool.
So, next on, back to harem antics?
Check out my fanfiction!I wouldn't bet on that. From Chinese translations, Big Sister Maid is to head out to train herself, the three students (soldier, merchant and noble youngsters) got up much higher in their respective ladders, the freaking Church is backing a massive manufacturing of gunpowder and muskets, which already has an army trained to use them to march to the demon world once more. Question is, when will the flashpoint happen.
Same as usual.... Wing it.I know that I'm dredging this topic up from quite a while back, but this is significant news in one regard at least.
The manga version Maoyuu Maou Yuusha - "Kono Watashi no Mono to Nare, Yuusha yo" "Kotowaru!" which was pretty much the most prominent version has come to an end.
The artist for this particular incarnation of the series, Akira Ishida, posted a little celebratory image to his twitter account: https://twitter.com/Akira_Ishida/status/724973289647427584
The 18th and final volume of the series will be out in Japan in August.
That's cool. It was always one of those mangas that you could actually see ending, as opposed to those that just go on and on. The last monthly manga I saw to its conclusion was probably Claymore.
Check out my fanfiction! So,why'd the Demon Queen begin introducing gunpowder anyway?
Secret Signature
Latest chapter of the I REFUSE (Chapter 28) is out.
Well, can we say that things are heading south now. Seems like Archer did it, right?
I've seen the Chinese translation by the way, and there won't be a release until February I think. Chapter 29 pretty much nails it that she's gonna be OK, and Archer is not the one who did it.
Same as usual.... Wing it.
