For anyone interested in quasi-serious speculation about inconsequential details, I wrote a blog post outlining a Drink Order for all of the main six
"The only way to truly waste an idea is to shove it where it doesn't belong."See, no no no, that's how you KEEP the NSA away. Just have like an "incognito" (yeah right) tab open with like 3 really really fetish-y clop fics. Whenever you're buy yourself and not using your computer, leave it on those tabs.
Go play Kentucky Route Zero. Now.But then what if your parents walk into the room while you're gone?

Fanfiction I hate.Actually, when I was younger I snuck on a library computer to read normal fanfiction when my parents banned me form using the computer. A parent of someone I knew found me, and I quickly exited the page because no one could know I liked fanfiction (especially pony fanfiction).
Explaining to my parents that no I WASN'T looking at porn, I just wanted to finish the story that I had started earlier was a fun experience.
Go play Kentucky Route Zero. Now.@Connelly: Thanks for the comments on Immutable—if you had any other general impressions it would really help me out; parts of the plot or reveal that were confusing, or parts of the dialogue/description that didn't flow well, in particular.
"The only way to truly waste an idea is to shove it where it doesn't belong."I want to get into Pony POV, but I've seen a lot of stuff on it, and it seems...impenetrable. What are all these made-up words?
"Monsters are tragic beings. They are born too tall, too strong, too heavy. They are not evil by choice. That is their tragedy."I haven't read the series, but I assume that Continuity Lockout is in effect? That everything is so context-dependent that you need to start at the beginning for anything to make sense.
I've only read through "season" 3 so far and I don't know what "made-up" words there are, but yeah, one wants to begin at the beginning.
@Clever I don't think anything confused me (besides the epilogue, I found everything quite easy to follow), but TBH I been tired all day so any confusing part may have passed over my head. I'll try to make a quick read again when I'm awake and see if I spot anything. note

Well, a different editor said that the first chapter break and the epilogue were a bit confusing (in particular, that the former shifted Nightmare Moon's personality too quickly and that the latter didn't provide enough clue to the parallel universe thing).
I tried to write it a little vague to facilitate Death of the Author, but it seems I went in the opposite direction and made it too bare on details.
"The only way to truly waste an idea is to shove it where it doesn't belong."Dunno. The moment where the pieces clicked in the epilogue was getting to the wasteland part at the end and then rereading the checklist and plants part. That was enough for me. I don't remember anything weird with the personality bit, but as I said I'll try to look at it later.
@Jinx: Which ones?
Where can I read the beginning of some of y'all's stuff?
Fimfiction is a good start for mine.
Also, I found this: Yes, Princess is based off the old time show Yes Minister, a satire on how British politics are handled by showing us the apartment of Administration, a political graveyard. Here, it's worse. Twilight is in charge of Equestria for two years and she isn't happy with that every move she makes is filtered ridiculously by those who are supposed to act on them as instructed.

@Clever I'm not sure about that personality shift you mentioned. In what sense did they say it was quick? Seems like she is questioning Celestia about things that she already made her mind before she even asked Discord to send her back in time. And she had another thousand years to think about it, if you think she was conscious during her imprisoning, plus the entire first season.
They were talking about the Time Skipthe transition from NMM to Disguised!NMM was too abrupt for them.
After the latest advice from a different prereader, however, I think it needs some polishing in more than just those aspects. Good thing this was only a first draft, otherwise I might be a bit disheartened. P:
"The only way to truly waste an idea is to shove it where it doesn't belong."Department of Administration. It is indeed a political graveyard, a minefield.
Of course, you can't have a minefield in a graveyard. Because then the corpses would go *prfft*.
It's the wittiest, most awesome comedy ever. I wish there were more shows like this.

Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.(facepalm) ... at least I got the 'partment' bit right...
Bureaucratic Empire Building, huh?
Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.I'd suggest here.
READ IT!
Heh.
Oh, Sereg, I've read that and adored it.
Not so much its sequel, because "Outside Equestria, ponies populations are assholes who live in grit and shitty conditions" never sat well with me for some reason.
I'm certain it's reasonable, but I couldn't read the one about the pastors from the Friendship Religion either for the same reason.
Oh dear, you probably won't like mine, then, either.
On the upside, that's gonna be glossed over for minimal coverage. My Mane 6 are on constant move so there's little chance to see any of that.
Oh god
Welcome to the wonderful world of having 16 tabs perpetually open on your phone, all of them pony fics.
I like to imagine the NSA regularly calling up a projection of my screen at any given time, seeing the words "Twilight Sparkle gasped in shock at the" and then snapping the pencil in hand in half with a infuriated "God DAMMIT!"
