Take over the world, eliminating anti-cloning, anti-genetic modification, famine etc. until the end of my reign.
I'll pour research into advanced cybernetics, finally achieving trans-humanism by the end of my reign
Then I'll only hope my successor doesn't bugger it up.

I think there is a story by Isaac Asimov about an AI like that. In the end it just want to die.
If a chicken crosses the road and nobody else is around to see it, does the road move beneath the chicken instead?
