Maybe a combination of the audience usually finding the heroes more likable than the villains, people who like the villains tending to give them Leather Pants and downplay their evilness, and/or people finding it sort of weird to admit they found some evil act awesome.
Apparently I am adorable, but my GF is my #1 Groupie. (Avatar by Dreki-K)Rooting for the Empire is usually unintentional and pretty rare which is the main cause. As well as when the villain does something awesome it's usually portrayed as a bad thing unless it's a Magnificent Bastard event or shown from the villain's perspective (Thrawn in the Star Wars novels is an example of that). Or Villain Protagonist s like in Code Geass then it's the good guys who not get C Mo F as they are the foil.

Sparkling and glittering! Jan-Ken-Pon!Magneto, The Joker, the Flash's Rogues, and Doctor Doom all have quite a few under their belts. Personally, I think Venom needs more.

I know they do exist, but why do villains so rarely get a Crowning Moment Of Awesome nod on this site? Villains do just as if not more awesome things than heroes I find
