-The townspeople gathered have a collective sigh of relief-

Adriana: "You actually managed to pull it off! Impressive."

Mother: "So... it's over? For now, anyways..."

Yuri: Yeah...s'over...for now...I'm just hungry. Haven't had breakfast yet, and my face still hurts from getting out of the wrong side of the bed this morn...

Soap: Yeah. We're gone too, seeing as that giant base blew up our outpost. We've got salvage teams picking through the wreckage. First shot took out the hangar and the artillery. Second shot blew up the tents. Whoever was lucky enough to survive ran. -sigh- Not many survivors.

Hakurei Miko: "He's right, they're gone."

Longram: *He looks around* "Heh, I guess the town has no more enemies to worry about anymore." *To Soap* "That's terrible, captain. May their souls rest in piece."

Mother: "Key word being for now."

-The townspeople soberly agree-

Adriana: "Well you guys have managed to eat my stocks clean out of existence, so I can't offer you much anymore... I guess we'll just have to wait for...-"

-A flash of light in the upper atmosphere. A solitary figure descends from the flash-

"... Aid."

Yuri: ...

-Still grinning like a loon even with the strange new potentially individual, and weakly asks one question-

Izis the part where we all get a medal?

Adriana: "It's the part where something happens, that's for sure. Don't worry, it's friendly. See, when the coalition that founded this town came together, they appointed their own champions to be magically infused and become Angels."

-The Angel descends to the highest point in the town, i.e, Casey's head. It blows a trumpet that echos over the entire town, and all the townspeople turn toward it-

Soap: -looks at the Angel out of curiosity-

Time and time again, he finds himself in the woods of Canada, whether it is in his mind or whether he can truly feel the snow beneath his feet. He's hurt, crazed..and pain shoots from his wrist. Once again, he screams-

He shakes away those memories..there would be time enough later to relive them.

Wolverine: Shit..I hate trumpet music..

Wolverine: Wait, they're supposed ta be the champions of this place? Then why have they been AWOL until now?

Wolverine had seen his fair share of Aliens and Supernatural Beings during that tenure on his team. He was only slightly suprised at the inital appearance.

Adriana: "Not angels in the strictest sense of the world. More like our variant on them... "

Random Man: "There are more problems inside the sector than external threats."

-The Angel speaks, in a beautiful but distinctly inhuman voice-

" This sector has been breached in full. Now, it's entirety is accessible to outsiders. As a result, this town has fulfilled it's purpose."

Longram: "What do mean by that, huh?"

Soap: ...huh.

Wolverine:...Wah?

Yuri: ...Say wut?

Adventurer: "The town was founded to intercept people like us, right? Now that we can pop up anywhere, it's no longer useful to have this spot controlled."

Adriana: "That's it, more or less."

Angel: " This town is now considered derelict. You are all relieved of your duties, and may return to whatever previous location or post you had. That is all."

-The Angel begins ascending. The townspeople turn to one another and begin discussing the issue amongst themselves-

Casey: Huh?

Yuri: ...So...we gotta go now, is what you're telling us.

...

Right...

...Well...

So what now?

Wolverine: So, that's it?

Soap: I do not know.

Adriana: "That's it. We can all do whatever the hell we want now."

Adventurer: "I don't know about you all, but I think there are adventures out there yet..."

Son: "Well we're splitting, that's for sure. No more work here."

-The townspeople as a body seem to agree with this sentiment, and are making plans to go offworld with the next supply ships-

Yuri: ...

What's even out there? I mean...aside from Earth, wherever the hell that is...

...I got no clue where to even go.

-Folds his arms and ponders-

Hoshiko : The Mobius has used a lot of ammo, and received damage... It needs to return to port if any of you are interested in going to earth.
