Ports you wish would happen.

(Relatively) short replayable games are boss — think Star Fox or Metroid (well, SF 64 has multiple paths too...). Or any fighting game, technically... Maybe Hot D Overkill could have deflected some of the criticism by tacking on a couple of extra unlockable levels, but I think the game's fine the way it is, and I wish more games would follow their lead.

I mean, I never even finished the RE gun game once — that is money I'd like back.

SSFIV AE for 3DS. Would that even be feasible as DLC?

Maverick-Hunter X styled remakes of all the Mega Man X games. Except X7, which Capcom should start over from the ground up. Also Kingdom Hearts Final Mixes released overseas.

Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep on something that isn't a PSP.
Jet Set Radio Future for the 360. It can be a pure, 100%, no changes port and I would be happy.
All of the Breath Of Fire games in a graphical update based port to any system.
Also Kingdom Hearts Final Mix and Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix + released on anything in America.

Final Fantasy 6 on the DS/3DS with the same graphical updates that Final Fantasy 3 got PLEASE.

Probably the best Final Fantasy of the series...

3DS with graphics as awesome as OOT 3D, more realistically proportioned characters, and even more voiced cutscenes than 4. The epicness shall shatter the world!

I want a Final Fantasy 6 with these graphics◊, these proportions◊, and have as much dialogue as Link at most.

Realistically proportioned characters kinda ruins it for me when it comes to these older FF games.

Why? The deformed versions are okay but on a more advanced system they'd look kind of silly.

I don't see how upping the graphics quality makes it look silly...

I can't believe I forgot to mention this. However, I'd rather have it with original graphics or a with better graphics graphics (either with realistic proportions or in SD style) on 3DS. The FF 4 remakes (and The 4 Heroes of Light for that matter) are fucking ugly.

People aren't as awful as the internet makes them out to be.

A compilation of all six Wonder Boy games on the 3DS. A port of the Sega CD version of Popful Mail would also do well on there.

I thought the MGS HD releases are for X-360 AND PS 3? They include MGS 2, MGS 3 and MGSPW.

Well, there are mods to make them more stable under current versions of Windows, as well as add higher DX functions and higher game resolutions, but I utterly support the handhelds issue. The only remotely similar games that you can do without emulation are Sonic Chronicles for the DS (being a Bio Ware game) and, for a given amount of similar, the Mega Ten games for PSP and DS and soon-to-be-on 3DS.

There exists a fanmade port/adaptation of FO 2 for Windows Mobile, but it's unstable and is Russian-only, AFAIK. And is based off the worst of the five known pirate version translations of the game (which, coincidentially, became the basis for the belated official Russian translation when that translation team went legit), but that's a different story altogether =)

It's already on the PS 3, just inseparable from the Orange Box. That's doubly insulting, that is.

L.A. Noire is on Steam as of last week. Limbo has been since August. Brutal Legend will come soon enough, seeing as how Costume Quest recently came over, and what with the re-release of Psychonauts (with simplified Meat Circus, now I may be able to complete the damn game at least once!).

Scumm VM is your friend. If you own the games legally, it is a perfectly legal thing to do.

No official English translation exists, remember? That's a big stopper right there.
