You can use You Know That Show to find the name of a game, you don't have to specify a category.
Also, it sounds like MDK.

Yeah, sounds like MDK to me as well. I only played a demo ages back, but the player character variety was quite memorable.

I'm adding this because 'you remember that show' doesn't have a video game category.
First query: What I am remembering here is an older game, early 2000's or later 1990's (I'm 17 right now and I remember this from back before I was eligible for the boy scouts, so it's fairly old, around the same time I started playing Unreal Tournament, the first one. ), that allows you to play as three different characters as far as I can remember: 1. I think his name is 'max', he has a gun attached (like, it's a prosthetic) to one of his arms. May or may not have involved a level where you jump off of jellyfish-like things to get to a higher point. 2. This one's a mad scientist. At one point there is this puzzle where you have to put a fish bowl, ducttape and something else together to make a space helmet (and then you pull a lever and the room explosively decompresses after some robot says something along the lines of 'oh (something) doctor, now you've done it'). Another point involves navigating a maze as a goldfish while avoiding piranhas. 3. I think this one is a girl. She may not actually have been in game. There may not have been a third character. Could have been a dog.
Plot details: Who knows.
