This was cut before and violates Complaining About Shows You Dont Like. It's not even what Troper Tales are for.
Zap.

First entry on that list "Anime and manga in general". The "comedy" section also notes that the entire UK (we're a completely homogenous group of course) constitute and unpleasable fanbase.
These need to be terminated with extreme prejudice.

Well, at any rate, I agree that it should be cut again. As it stands, it's still basically "Complaining About Shows You Don't Like That Others Like" V. 2.2.
Experience has taught me to investigate anything that glows.Looking at it again, it doesn't seem like a troper tales page at all - but an ordinary list of examples that was cut/pasted to TT to save it.

They were the examples Eddie cut from the main page in January, pretty much verbatim. Can anyone tell if he did it himself? The edit history doesn't really say who did the first edit.
I do note that it said to post examples on TT, but I think that was before the page was cut.

Seems the TT page has been cut. I've tidied up the notice on the main page to just say "No examples".
Should this thread be locked now? Page no longer exists so I think we're done here?

The Hype Backlash examples on the Troper Tales page consist mostly of "!his was good for it's time, but now people think it sucks!", "Seinfeld Is Unfunny.", "To some people, this is disappointing." and "Why did people like this shit to begin with?" entries, among other things. It seems like instead of writing examples, this is more like people Complaining About Shows You Dont Like and getting around using This Troper. The fact that said examples generally avoid telling why people liked a work make it this even more.
I say we zap the TT section and just allow the Trope to show up for examples on the YMMV section for work pages. It's already locked, so the only thing that has to be done is to nix the page.
