Got back into my account without assistance, guess the system was just wonky yesterday.
Politics is the skilled use of blunt objects. So, just got 20 bucks on Steam...what to buy, what to buy...
Famous last words of many a kerbal: MOAR BOOSTERS!!!What are you in the mood for?
Oh really when?A bunch of classic Star Wars games are on sale, if you are into that, you can get the entire Dark Forces series for under 10$ for instance. There is also an Activision sale on. And the Saints Row franchise is having a sale too.
Politics is the skilled use of blunt objects.I sorta like sandbox games, but not Terraria or Kerbal since I'll be sharing those with a friend soon. I also have my eye on FTL, but I still wonder how much I can get that my friend doesn't already have...also, I have 6% sales tax on whatever I buy, so yeah.
Famous last words of many a kerbal: MOAR BOOSTERS!!!Are you willing to wait for the summer sale?
What it is, is that it's a part of a scheme involving me sharing a game library with someone else, and I need to be able to chat, so I decided I'd actually buy a game that my friend didn't have. He doesn't have FTL, so I think I might get that, then save the rest for the summer sale.
Famous last words of many a kerbal: MOAR BOOSTERS!!!So everyone else knew that Steam has a music player built into the Library that lets you play all your songs? Because I sure didn't. I must have glanced at that bit in the menu for years and missed it before I paid attention to it this week.
I think it's been around for about a year.
I noticed it while looking at the FTL Faster Than Light OST.
Famous last words of many a kerbal: MOAR BOOSTERS!!!Steam gave me the soundtrack to Civilization V's Brave New World expansion for free (in addition to the soundtrack I got with the Gold Edition) when it was released. That was a really nice gesture.
I have disagreed with her a lot, but comparing her to republicans and propagandists of dictatorships is really low. - An idiotThe fact that the soundtrack comes with it is a big reason to get System Shock 2 on Steam.
That Engineering deck theme...

Expergiscēre cras, medior quam hodie. (Awaken tomorrow, better than today.)Getting SS 2 on GOG also gets you the soundtrack for free, and in FLAC no less. It's not something unique to Steam you know.
Oh joy.
See, there were those sales this week-end. -75% on all Batman : Arkham (Asylum/City/Origins) games because of the release of Arkham Knight, up until today 7PM. Didn't know until today because I hadn't access to internet.
So, I decide to buy Arkham City, mainly because I already bought it for PS 3... And the CD was corrupted or something, so I could never play it.
Yeah... See that part where you have to confirm that you want to buy it for yourself ? It bugged right there. Impossible to confirm my command. I see the game appearing on my library, but when I try to upload it, I get a message saying that there's a problem and that I need to wait for the transaction to be approved.
Well, everything's unbugged now. AFTER the end of the sale. So of course, now Steam wants me to buy it full price. Except 1) that's not the price I agreed to 2) I don't have enough on my Steam wallet for buying it now.
Somebody mustn't want me to play that game, I don't see any other explanations.

Man, that sucks. For future references, I believe you can solve this type of issues by canceling the transaction entirely and trying again. No help once the sale have ended, of course, but you can do that immediately. Just make sure you haven't paid yet.
Well, maybe it was just bad timing on my part. Even for accessing the shop, I had a few trouble because the servers were apparently overloaded...

The days of the Summer Sale will be from June 11 - 20. The infor is due to a leak on Vkontatke, a Russian social networking site. No word yet it if will have a special collectible quest like the last ones, though.
Hopefully it lacks some of the nastier borks from the last few sales.
Oh who are we kidding, any game system will have it's system gamed.
Apocalypse: Dirge Of Swans.Steam offering refunds is a very good move. Maybe not so good for the flippers, scammers and bullshitters on Steam, but fuck those.
There are some things I've had for more than two weeks but not played very much I'd like to refund now.
I kinda wish that there was some way to see if that could still be done.
I would have gotten refunds for them in two weeks if this feature had existed then.

Maybe something like depending on how much you've played the game, so that those who finished the game they want to refund won't try to abuse the system.
Looks like you can still get a refund even if you bought the game over 2 weeks earlier. It just doesn't seem to be a guarantee.
#IceBearForPresidentTHE SUMMER SALE HAS STARTED. Beware, citizens, for your wallets are in great danger!
Spam folder is empty. Considering that I'm pretty sure I remembered my password this should have worked. I'm starting to worry that my account has been jacked.
This all started when I couldn't buy anything and the online solution was delete every folder except steamapps, userdata and the .exe. Then I had to restart, Steam reinstalled itself and I had to log in. When I couldn't I sent the request for the email, and never got it.
