[up][up][up]Because even though it was made on a television budget, it was released in theaters late in the game, and that's all that these rip-off studios care about.

Oh yeah, I actually saw a poster for it in a place by me. It depressed me badly.

Saw the sequel. Better than the first and amazing voice cast. I hope this means that Disneytoon can do the stories that Pixar and Disney have canned so they can be seen. Like Newt. Any way to see these films on the big screen would be important.

...I don't see how reviving old ideas like Newt has anything do with the Planes sequel being better than the first Planes.

I mean the company Disney Toon in general. Seeing how good the film is, I want to see Disney and Pixar give the company their shelved works(like the WW 2 Gremlin film) so they can finally be made.

IIRC, Disney wanted to make a movie about airplane gremlins waaaay back in the Golden Age, but shelved it because they couldn't make that kind of creature sympathetic.

What would an airplane gremlin even do? Eat everyone's complementary peanuts?

Hum, actually, they were supposed to damage airplanes and make them crash down. Ever watched that Twilight Zone episode they once parodied in a Simpsons Treehouse of Horrors special?

I've seen like 5 episodes of The Twilight Zone, and maybe about 20 episodes of The Simpsons at most.

(They're on my list.)

Unless do you mean the one with the military guy whose plane crashes on a deserted island or something?

Oh, I think Johnny Bravo parodied that one too! With that "Clown on the Wing" thing or whatever it was called.

They actually brought the Gremlins back for Epic Mickey but I would love to see the script be resurfaced. Disney even published a book version a few years back with industry artwork.

No, I meant the Gremlins movie by Spielberg . I'd Disney wanted to make a gremlins movie , they'd have to deal with being accused if ripping him off and being unoriginal

I know that. You know that. Wait, maybe we don't have a problem . I'm just saying if it's made we'll need a way to distinguish them by name . Also wasn't Dahl the guy who wrote The Chocolate Factory? We're getting off topic . Planes 2. Why is this going to theaters? Only one year after the last one ? That says something about how much work they put into it. But, why theaters ? Why?

Did they release The Lion King 2 in theaters? I'd like to know who's idea this was. Lasseter's? Seriously relativity speaking cars toys haver even sold well compared to, well, everything else! Make a movie for its own sake, not to sell toys (unless your hasbro)
