And then we see Mario and Sonic parachuting somewhere...
This really has me interested, but at the same time, will people recognize characters besides the most iconic ones?

I treat all living things equally. That is to say, I eat all living thingsNot sure. Certainly they are trying to get the hardcore gamers into the theaters.
Well, it depends on how much they are seen in the trailers, which could either focus on the story and then the cameos as extras, or advertise up the cameos before the story. I still find it odd we haven't seen a proper trailer yet, though.
Holy Grail, huh? Cool story, bro.Watch this be their first CGI stinker in a while.
Why so negative? If anything, this will have more of a Roger Rabbit vibe than the dreaded Shrek virus.
And anyway, I highly doubt that Disney would be stupid enough to make another Chicken Little / Home On The Range. Lasseter wouldn't allow it (No, do not direct me towards Cars 2 as an example that Lasseter is no longer a good director/producer. They've already admitted it was a marketing shill)
I'm having to learn to pay the priceMy main problem with the film right now are that we don't have much official information from the movie at all, and all we know of the plot so far doesn't seem too original outside of the setting.
Holy Grail, huh? Cool story, bro.I think they're trying to hype it up. Suck in all the gamer crowd by announcing cameos on the web to the net savvy before hitting it off with a (Potentially) awesome trailer to hype it up even more.
It's a risky menouvor but it does have a chance of working.
I'd say we'd get the official trailer when Brave comes out.

I'm having to learn to pay the priceWe should've gotten a trailer and then a list of cameos.
Why is the Brave page locked?

@Pipping Fool
Wait, when did they admit Cars 2 was for marketing(after all that with Lasseter saying it was a very personal film?). I mean, I guess it's understandable(some companies fund their more prized films by releasing cash cows), but I'm a bit surprised(and not)
In general, it just feels like video games can be a bit harder to get into than animation, since gaming is ultimately a more involved experience. But maybe that's just me.
I treat all living things equally. That is to say, I eat all living thingsThat doesn't seem to have worked yet, because this site and links posted here are all I've heard of this film.
Maybe it's just Disney's classic marketing silliness?

...Yeah, I'll go with the howler monkeys in the Marketing Department.
Right after the film's release, when it got a bunch of negative critisim. I remember Lasseter saying that people shouldn't be ward off from seeing the Monsters Inc prequel because Cars2 was a crappy film due to it really being made to net in profits.

Mind showing me the link(Or I'll try to find it myself). Man, Lasseter is really getting stretched thin, isn't he?
I treat all living things equally. That is to say, I eat all living thingsAnd why shouldn't Wreck-it Ralph be terrifying, I ask? Every generation needs a seemingly innocent film to terrify the pants off them and give them nightmares! I was never bothered by Roger Rabbit as a kid, but Aladdin was pretty uncomfortable for me at parts.

Remember what Henry Selick said regarding Coraline. Kids NEED to be scared once in a while, and, if he were in charge, they need to be scared MORE OFTEN!
Warren Spector: Disney scared the pants off me when I was a little kid. Disney needs to scare kids!
Yeah, just hopping on the bandwagon...But honestly, a little scariness doesn't hurt..

I treat all living things equally. That is to say, I eat all living thingsSnow White And The Seven Dwarves. People were SCARED STIFFLESS by the Evil Queen/Witch, and yet it's still considered G-rated!
The heart of a pig has got nothing on Woody's headturning.
NO IT DOES NOT.
First trailer comes out June 6th, right in the middle of E3 season.
:K
I'm having to learn to pay the priceClever girl. If it's actually shown during E3, I will give them a high-five. In spirit, of course.

Disney Animation Twitter update
I was terrified of Roger Rabbit when it was released, but I was still growing at the time. I don't think it's for people younger than preteens.
