Digital Foundry: Odyssey Docked vs. Portable
- 60 fps; 900p docked; 720p portable; only framerate drops when tutorial popups pop up.
- Cutscenes run at 640x720
- Better bloom, level of detail, shadows, and draw-distance when docked.
- Some pop-in.
- Snapshot mode cuts framerate to 30 fps, but increases level of detail.
I'd assume that this is still not a final build, so there might be some improvements on top of that in the final game

Been playing Yoshi's Island a bit on my SNES Classic as I rotate through some games. Got thorough World 1 in like 40 minutes while also getting 100% for every level. Also got 0 deaths so far.
I've played this game like 20 times and it still holds up super well. Though I miss the GBA version's sound effects because that's the version I played when I was younger.
If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with?

I played Yoshi's Island for the first time two or three years ago thanks to the 3DS ambassador program. It's a fun lil' diddy. I can see why it became a spinoff. Now if only Super Princess Peach 2 would come out already.

See, I grew up with the SNES original, and I just can't play the GBA version even though it added a few new levels, due to the reduced audio and visual quality combined with the irritating soundclips.
The biggest crime the GBA version did, though, was not the addition of low-quality Yoshi voice samples; it was removing the Big Boss Battle theme from the Golden Tap-Tap chase in the final level.

x2 Yoshi's Story is the N64 game. The GBA version of Yoshi's Island is the game available via the 3DS Ambassador Program.

I know, I get the names mixed up. There are so many Yoshi's [x] names. I need to get around to playing Story.
Why does the fat female rabbit from Super Mario Odyssey remind me of Ma Beagle from Ducktales mainly the 2017 reboot.
That second to last one is true, I have bought games I've never played(yet). In that sense, I would be compatible with Francis. I beat him with Peach and sideways turning pixel.
Not having Tippi was weird. I spent, like, three minutes moving around the television with the wii mote, trying to figure out why I couldn't highlight anything before I realized, she's gone, that's why. I guess I'll have to go back through that chapter with the highlight ability later...

Because in the post-game, you lose Tippi forever and to get a robotic copy of her, you need to pay Francis the geek chameleon 9999 coins, which is all the coins you could possibly collect, and even then, the robot copy would often comment about how it's kind of an inferior take on Tippi, right?
...Yeah. 
You guys think we'll see Luigi be an unlockable character in Super Mario Odyssey?

It honestly wouldn't surprise me. He's been playable in all of the other recent 3D Mario titles.
You know what would be really cool, though? If playing as Luigi in Odyssey resulted in Peach being replaced with Daisy. That's probably just wishful thinking though.

Yeah. Especially since Tippi is such a loveable character. Possibly my favorite helper fairy character ever with only Midna and Phantom Zelda beating her and only Starlow tying.
Pauline showed up and sang a vocal theme tune. Anything's possible.

Well, Daisy was added to Super Mario Run a few days ago, so who knows.

Looks like Snow Kingdom is based on Russia, specifically Asian Russia/Siberia with the main area being called Shiveria (Which sounds similar to Siberia) and the Russian-looking designs on the inhabitant's parkas.
