I think I'm going to do with this what I did with the last Olympics game:
Download all the awesome music and leave it alone otherwise.
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.Successful Xanatos Gambit by PETA. They succeeded in drawing attention to their cause, if and you're callous enough to ignore the plight of the poor tanukis just because PETA yanked your chain — that's a bit petty, isn't it? It's not the tanuki's fault!
Except [condescending response follows]. Because [sarcasm here]. You do understand [snark], right? POTHOLE TO SARCASM MODEOh my god. Just say the SMB 2 thing. I'd forgotten how awesome that game was.
Wow! Someone made a really good Mario fangame... with Waluigi as a main character!
Once I'm finished with 3D Land and Skyward Sword, I'm gonna try that one out!
Fantastic Supreme Überkaiser Emperor Folt of The Infinity and Beyond" ... "The First"!So I just got to Special Stage 7-5 in Super Mario 3 D Land. Much to my dismay, it's another one of the Shadow Clone Stages.
Of course, it can't be that hard, can it? After all, I've beaten all the other Shadow Clone stages and HOLY FUCK HE'S HUGE.
I just realized... it's been a long time since we've seen E. Gadd, hasn't it?
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.Hey guys i need to ask YOU something.
What is your favorite rendition of the main Mario theme?
Mine is the 3D Land one, even if there have been countless others

If you wanna PM me, send it to my mrsunshinesprinkles account; this one is blorked.E. Gadd will probably return in Luigi's Mansion 2
^^ They're really using that Toy Time-esque orchestration a lot, aren't they? I mean, it made sense when it returned in Galaxy 2, but to keep using it here...
Anyways, for renditions of the Mario theme in Mario games, I'd have to go with either Platforms A Plenty or the Dream Figure Skating theme.
My favorite semi-official version of it is this. Beautiful.
Another of my favorites, though it isn't the Mario main theme this time.

"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain. He actually is. The premise is that Luigi and E. Gadd are running a ghosthunting business.
I think the Toy-Time esque thing is the accurate portrayal of the mario world
Fun, upbeat, and unpredictable.
Well, unless they reuse it ALL the time...
If you wanna PM me, send it to my mrsunshinesprinkles account; this one is blorked. You know what's funny? I just realized that Doopliss might not just be a pun on "duplicate," but also "duplicity."
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.I've been hearing that Nintendo has a 2D Mario planned for the 3DS.
I have to wonder, are they going to use the New Super Mario Bros name for it again, or are they going to use a new name?

Please help out our The History Of Video Games page.I was thinking they'd call it New Super Mario Bros. 3D. It'll be the third game in the series, and it'll give them an excuse to use the Tanooki Suit again.
A completely new game with a brand-new style would be better, in my opinion.
Eh.x5
I thought Luigi hated ghosts? Eh, whatever, it'll still be awesome.
Can you define brand-new game with brand-new style?
Please help out our The History Of Video Games page.I cannot get past those annoying giant fish in the 2nd secret world on Super Mario Brothers Wii.
My PM box is always open to anyone who wants to talk/vent.I was thinking today how the Fire Flower pretty much sold me on Super Mario Galaxy. While I was looking forward to the game, my reaction to it was basically "Oh, a 3D Super Mario platformer. I'll have to check that out once the price goes down."
Then I saw Iwata Asks (I think) where they discussed the Fire Flower. Being the big fan of 2D Mario that I am...I went nuts. That happen to anyone else?
Weird in a Can (updated M-F)I wish I had seen this topic while I was playing Galaxy 2 for the first time .... now that I have all 242 stars, I'm not sure what to say anymore. =/
Ah, well, hopefully I'll have something interesting to discuss in the future.
I had a comparative feeling about Super Mario 3 D Land prior to its launch. I remember being like "oh, hey, a new Mario-game. Not too surprising, I'm gonna buy that", but once the (permanent) Fire Flower and the (Statue-)Tanooki Suit were revealed, I was really happy, since I like the Fire Flower, and Marios Tanooki-form was pretty damn cool in Super Mario Bros 3, so I wanted to buy it much more. And the game hasn't disappointed me, to say the least. ^^ True, it might be that it isn't as "innovative" as other Mario-games, but in my personal opinion, it's way better than New Super Mario Bros and its Wiiquel.

Thread bump.
Well, 3D Land did show off the 3D pretty well, but yeah, other than that, the core gameplay is just a good mix and match. The Mario series has stopped making huge bumps lately, if one notices. I mean, the jump from Sunshine to Galaxy was HUGE, but lately, they're just not making quantum leaps anymore.
If you wanna PM me, send it to my mrsunshinesprinkles account; this one is blorked. Finally got 3D Land.
Holy crap this game has single-handedly restored my faith in humanity.
I like 3D Land's Final Boss.
Fantastic Supreme Überkaiser Emperor Folt of The Infinity and Beyond" ... "The First"!
This just in, the latest Mario main series title is really, really good!
