Arcana Heart

This game's out for several months, but I've seen no topic about it. This looks like a good, complicated game, I think more complicated than Blaz Blue, but pretty fun. Played all games on the PS ports (including the Porting Disaster at 2).

Now questions...

• Can anyone brief me with whatever happened in 2? Plot stuffs was really scarce. I mean, for instance, why did Zenia leave the Russian police force or something to become a merc? I think this may be informed in 2, but I couldn't understand the details...
• In the AH 3 wikia, there's a list of palette colors which is separated with 'Main' (normal, already existing), 'DLC' (had to download), and 'RP Only'. What the heck does 'RP Only' mean?

RP only means they're only available by earning Relation Points in online play. Those colors are also only available in online play.

I'd like a synopsis of Arcana Heart 2 as well. Curse the PS 2 port and it's lack of export.

I'm waiting on the European release of AH 3. June 30th, says Zen United. Will we be seeing 9 million delays again? Time will tell.

We get a version on disc for the PS 3 AND 360. :D

Nice. I don't mind the US being download only though, mainly because I won't have to go through the awkward stares that would inevitably come with purchasing the game, or my parents asking questions about why exactly I'm buying this. n_n;

I hope to get 3 within the next couple of weeks. Although it's embarrassing, AH is one of my favorite fighting games, and I did walk into a store and buy Super Princess Peach after all.

My main in the first game was Maori, but there's so many new characters I'm going to give them all a whirl. Dorothy in particular looks like loads of fun.

So I got AH 3. You can't judge a book by its cover, you know. Nothing weird about a game where all the characters are 10-14 year old girls, unless that's how you look at it — and that probably means there's something wrong with you!

Or so I thought. How wrong I was! It's a thousand times creepier than I could have imagined! You get 'Relationship Points' by playing different matchups online? WHY IS IT AN UNDERAGE LESBIAN DATING SIMULATOR, WHY JAPAN

The game itself is quite neat... I think. I honestly have no idea what the hell is going on 95% of the time. I was a little nervous about taking it online for that reason, but I'm like 9-3 or so in player matches and I can honestly say I'm not alone here. Biggest highlight so far was a an opponent who literally just mashed on one button the entire match... I'm not even sure if he was walking.

The character designs are really cool, though! I played as the one that's a giant robot because it's a giant robot. Aiming sucks, I just want to do my normals and have them take up the whole screen. The one with a gun is also great.

In conclusion, 10/10, and it seems to have a pretty good training mode and good single player stuff too.

Why are you acting like this is a bad thing?

I like this very much. My favorite characters to use are Weiss, Heart Aino, and the Wolf Girl (Whose name I forgot that does mostly kicking attacks).

I set up a beginner's lobby for 2 players and lost 1-8. Some of the rounds were really close. I think he was sandbagging. I hate this game!

I don't play this series but I noticed that the art style in 3 makes the characters look younger than in the first two games. Is this a trend?

Suddenly I fear for the inevitable sequel to Asura's Wrath.

I might be the only person who doesn't find this game terribly perverted (key word is "terribly"). 'Tis fun though even though I haven't played in a while. Toward the end of my playing sessions I tended to favor Maori. Zoning is kinda my thing. It's also the only effective way for me to survive against tougher opponents.

I don't think it's that perverted as long as you ignore the gallery mode.

Also, apparently the JP and NA versions are not netplay compatible.

Well, right now, we may have to say good bye to uber broken Parace L'Sia since she will be balanced. But if we get Chaos, she may take Parace's place.

Didn't say anything about her being playable, just that she's a new arcana like Mildred before her.

I don't think they'll meet Dark Heart, let alone Chaos.

They're barely to Shark Girl last I checked.

Hopefully there will be a last moment donation clutch to at least get Shark Girl.

Probably should mention that there is currently only 24 hours until the end of the kickstarter. However, we are only 4k away from Shark Girl.
