Then surely it's just a matter of refining it? Deus Ex: Human Revolution doesn't do it much better either, given that it's often the case that it only gives you the first line out of a series of maybe seven or eight lines said in dialogue.

This post has been powered by avenging fury and a balanced diet.

Alpha Protocol fell on the other side of the Understandability Issues Barricade - shortening every dialogue option to an [ACTION] or [THEME] leads to a lot of Non Sequitur replies, sometimes hilarious, but not always consistent and practical for any given intention. Especially since you can't really know in advance how the protagonist will use the DOSSIER option =)

Alpha Protocol deserves a sequel now that we knew what all the problems were.

Sadly it wont happen due to no sales and lack of sales.

What a damn shame. One of the few games where your choices ACTUALLY MATTER and it gets the shaft in favor of games that have the illusion of choice.

[up]Bioware pretty much walked right into that with the ME series by making it a trilogy that consistently follows a single character's story.

I still have some hope that we can make legitimately grandiose choices in ME 3(seeing as it's the final game in the series).

Speaking of choices in games, I just came across this interview with Chris Avellone last month: http://www.irontowerstudio.com/forum/index.php/topic,2055.0.html

Ahaha, AoD, I wonder if that thing'll ever ship, or if it's doomed to end up like Broken Hourglass.

@Jotunof Boredom: Thanks! It's good thing you reminded me of that site too because I remember about an interesting interview about NWN 2: Mask of the Betrayer but forgot where it is...turns out it's on that site...if you're interested, it's here...

About MOTB, I'm finding the NWN 2 original campaign really boring (I'm in Neverwinter doing fetch quests for the guard to gain access to this District). Should I just skip the OC to get to MOTB or is the OC necessary to play the expansion pack?

^ Not necessary...I've lost my NWN 2 save game, thus I started a new character...no problem really...other than some difference in who survived the King of Shadows lair...and you start at level 18 instead of 20 or whatever you finished with...

Hmm, so rumors that Obsidian might be doing Pathfinder CRPG next are increasing it seems [lol] At least on Pathfinder's own forum
