Demonization: to attack something or someone by making them sound evil (not necessarily devilish or Satanic, just evil-bad-boogey-man).
Everyone Is Satan in Hell: to twist the imagery of a work or group in order to specifically link it to Satan in some way.
So Everyone Is Satan in Hell is a subtrope of Demonization; one particular variant that is widely enough used to be a trope of its own.
Saying that (for example,) "gays are all also pedophiles" is demonization, but not Everyone Is Satan in Hell.

...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.But the description and the examples aren't specifically describing Everyone Is Satan in Hell as something related to literal Satan (the description uses general 'X symbolizing Y' formula and examples include Teletubbies being demonized portaryed as gay propaganda). It would be good to rewrite it this way though
"Take your (...) hippy dream world, I'll take reality and earning my happiness with my own efforts" - BarkeyIs it just me, or is Everyone Is Satan in Hell a really bad snowclone?
Not all Snowclones are bad. For example: Everyone is x in x, and Everyone is Y in Y. If x and y aren't related then yes that is a bad snowclone. However, if x and y are opposites of each other, then it would work much better.
Also could a mod fix the merge in the TRS title. And no, I am not a Grammar Natzi

Which is the point - Everyone Is Satan in Hell has very little to do with Everyone Is Jesus in Purgatory.
Exactly, snow clones shouldn't be a problem if the subjects are related. But these two tropes aren't close at all.
This might even need a rename while we're at it.
It sounds somewhat related to me. It's about that symbolism thingy.
Fight smart, not fair. But Demonization is the Real Life term for what this article is supposed to be describing! We shouldn't rename it — it's the obvious name.
Everyone Is Satan in Hell is a subtrope. It is not uncommon to find works, if you look in the wrong places, where most of the characters are demonized but there is at least one Mary Sue in there that's meant to be sympathetic. There are also less extreme examples, natch.
There is a fine line between recklessness and courage — Paul McCartneyWhich would mean that we need a serious rewrite to indicate that. Where do we start?
"Take your (...) hippy dream world, I'll take reality and earning my happiness with my own efforts" - BarkeyActually, what I was advocating renaming was Everyone Is Satan in Hell, as it was only tangentially related to the trope it was snowcloned off of.
Demonization is a trope, while Everyone Is Satan in Hell is an audience reaction. That's how I see it anyway.
That's basically the case.
I'm on the internet. My arguments are invalid.Without making a statement on snowclones in general, I do agree that Everyone Is Satan in Hell is a really bad snowclone.
Rhetorical, eh? ... Eight!
What's the difference between those tropes? The descriptions makes them seem extremely similar. I suggest merge
