Calling it now: Minecraft has until the end of 2015 before it gets shut down due to lack of interest.

Minecraft would need to stop printing money 'fore that happens.

Knowing what Microsoft does to the companies it annexes, it likely will do just that very soon.

When Microsoft bought Skype, it lost features and became full of bugs. The future prospects for Minecraft don't look so great.

Has anything Microsoft ever bought turn out better than before, because we only seem to hear about how they make everything worse.

Minecraft itself will be fine. I'm sure that they mostly want the IP for licensing purposes (like backpacks) and spin-offs (Minecraft Kart). They want it to be their Mario or Pokemon basically. Not exclusive yet, but maybe Minecraft 2. I was just musing over the fact that there might be a slightly better chance of getting Minecraft on Wii U now.

Calling it now: the Mojang situation won't be nearly as bad as the internet claims. Not that that's saying much; taking the internet at face value would give us an apocalypse an hour.

Anyway, Teslagrad's another cool game. It's kinda short for its price tag, though. That said, I've yet to 100% it. Those scrolls are tricky.

Nintendo needs to get in on the whole creativity-game thing. I'm surprised they haven't done it that much really. There was Wario Ware DIY but that didn't perform very well, if I remember correctly. And there's Mario Maker coming up but that's not on quite the same level as Minecraft or Little Big Planet.

...I mean, now that I think about it, it doesn't exactly have a lot of tropes. You kind of need a story or gameplay or characters for that.

There is a Pokemon version. Maybe that could have something.

I think given the popularity of Minecraft, they're probably going to continue to license the property if there are sequels.

Worst case scenario about this arrangement is Microsoft pulls an Activision and draws water from the well too many times and it dries.

Make that game announcement public and the doubters will be shitting their pants.

Oh no they won't. The Wii was capable of some pretty great graphics and the graphics whores still mocked it.

I'd wait to see it in motion rather than a still shot before praising.

Plus, Wii U is already being left out of a lot of games. So people are already convinced it's inferior. Doesn't matter. If it's as good in motion as it is still, then that's alright by Rob.

It looks good for sure. But while I'm no graphics whore, it does pail in comparison to stuff like Driveclub.◊ Let's wait to see how it looks in motion.

Eh, looks kind of nice I guess? But the ground textures have obvious repeats and the bushes are so evenly spaced apart. Looks kind of nice but I've seen better on the WiiU.
