Beetlenose is an Expy or Berrynose. Also, that would make Berrynose a descendant of Hailstar, and both Berrynose and Hailstar are in my top ten favourite characters.
"Oh great! Let's pile up all the useless cats and hope a tree falls on them!"Which book did Beetlenose appear in?
Crookedstar's Promise. If you haven't read it, you could check Warriors Wiki, or our Warriors recap page for details.
"Oh great! Let's pile up all the useless cats and hope a tree falls on them!"Ah. That explains it. I haven't read that one yet, though my sister owns it. Is it good?
Crookedstar's Promise is about as good as Bluestar's Prophecy. While the timeskips aren't as bad, the cast is almost completely new, so you don't get the nostalgic feeling of finding out how the characters got to be who they are now. I think I have a topic comparing the two on Warrior's Wish. Let me look it up.
EDIT: Here we go. Beware, it's somewhat noobish.

"Oh great! Let's pile up all the useless cats and hope a tree falls on them!"Eh, I've gotten a little tired of Warriors, so I think that I'll pass on Crookedstar's Promise for now. I'll probably read Yellowfang's Secret, though, 'cause Yellowfang is awesome.

I know right? Yellowfang is one of my top ten favourites, and she's my favourite in the first arc.
Also, I'm rereading the whole series. Although I've only just begun Into the Wild, I've found plenty of new tropes.
"Oh great! Let's pile up all the useless cats and hope a tree falls on them!"Cool! It's funny how much Sandpaw disliked Firepaw at first, considering things.
I'm also writing a fanfic that takes place long after The Last Hope, but that should probably go in the fanfic forum. Oh well.
"Oh great! Let's pile up all the useless cats and hope a tree falls on them!"Cool! I like fanfics. Actually, my younger sister wrote a whole series of Warriors fanfics on the Official Warriors forums. Those were the only Warriors fanfics that I really read.
Are they saved to Word or somewhere? If so, can I read them?
"Oh great! Let's pile up all the useless cats and hope a tree falls on them!"Unfortunately, they're not on Word. She posted them on the Warriors forum a few years ago, so they're probably all deleted by now. The only one that's still up is the last one she wrote, "We Were Born For This"
I'm getting really excited for The Sun Trail. From what I've read in the field guides, River is my favourite Clan Founder.
"Oh great! Let's pile up all the useless cats and hope a tree falls on them!"Ooh, we're getting books based off of the original clan leaders now? Cool!
That'll be good. I'd love to see why the "medicine cats can't have mates" rule was established. Sure, I know that medicine cats are supposed to just concentrate on the clan and that taking care of kits may interfere with their duties, but leaders have the same issues and THEY'RE allowed to have mates.
I'm going to take a wild and crazy guess at the Big Bad of Dawn Of The Clans. Lightningtail. (Thunder's first deputy.) He never became leader (Owlstar succeeded Thunder), and dying of old age or in battle wouldn't be cool enough. So that's my no-evidence guess.
And for a less insane theory, I think Lightningtail is Thunder's brother. Given that he was Thunder's deputy, and their names fit together (Thunder and Lightning), this is probably true. (Also, evil siblings are a thing in Warrior Cats, so...)
"Oh great! Let's pile up all the useless cats and hope a tree falls on them!"Now you've got me excited after weeks of ignoring this thread! Seriously, though, it would be so cool if that really turned out to be the case.
Well, at least we know for sure that Tigerstar won't be the Big Bad again. (Unless he time traveled with the power of his invisible handlebar moustache.)
"Oh great! Let's pile up all the useless cats and hope a tree falls on them!"Or is the reincarnation of an evil cat from the beginning of the clans.
Tigerstar is the reincarnation of Lightningtail, Thunderstar's traitorous brother.
That wouldn't surprise me. Death Is Cheap in this series, after all.
Maybe Dawn Of The Clans could be a reversal of everything we know.
For example, there could be a prophecy, but it would be revealed to false and not trustworthy.

"Oh great! Let's pile up all the useless cats and hope a tree falls on them!"They already had a false prophecy. Remember Bluestar's prophecy?
I am really REALLY sick of Tigerstar being the bad guy all the time. I find him a one-sided villain, and apparently all his evil deeds come from him nursing a grudge against Firestar. Scourge was better in all honesty.
...although it would be interesting to see how they justified a time-traveling/reincarnation Lightningtiger thing.
Tigerstar was actually a time-traveling Lightningtail the whole time.
Why in particular do you think that he may be a descendant of Beetlenose instead of a descendant of one of the other Riverclan cats?
