The page needs a lot of work, as well, because what it says it's about ("You can tell what a dog is supposed to be like by what breed it is") and what the examples are ("This breed of dog was used in this work") are completely disconnected.

No. That's a trope that you see all the time, especially in animation.

This is a recently launched YKTTW that we already had in the form of Dog Stereotype (which is now a redirect), but decided to continue with it anyway, because that other page wasn't up to par with the rest of the wiki.
The page is satisfactory, but there aren't many connections to it. It's a pretty important trope where dogs are concerned. Probably should get some attention.
