Cue Ruined Forever reactions. I'll just simply take cover.
Time to ignore certain websites...
I don't care about either. If they both go hell together that's fine with me.
I gotta bad feeling about this.
I hope that they use Brian's voice for Dino and Stewie's voice for Bam Bam.
tumblrI never liked The Flintstones. I thought it aged terrible, most of the characters were unlikable, and the jokes were never funny.
But it does not deserve this. It does not deserve to have Seth MacFarlane shitting on it.
Never trust anyone who uses "degenerate" as an insult.Apparently, Seth Mac Farlane isn't content with raping Marge Simpson.
ALL CREATURE WILL DIE AND ALL THE THINGS WILL BE BROKEN. THAT'S THE LAW OF SAMURAI.Apparently, Seth also claims to want to preserve the original look of the old show.
THAT I would like to see!
Oh, the visual look won't stray too far away, I'm sure.
Well, i mean, every previous time he made a new show, it just looked too much like Family Guy, and I had my suspicions.
Just a thought; will it be marketed to kids or adults? If he's kept away from adult style humour it could show a whole other side to him...
I can't say right now. It could go either way, or have a mix of both.
I haven't seen enough of Cleveland Show to judge, but anyone who assumes American Dad is a Family Guy clone really needs to watch the shows. Its a different style humor and doesn't have cutaways, so at the very least Seth has created at least one show that's different from the FG formula.
Still waiting for a Legion of Losers movie...Hopefully his remake of The Flintstones would have a different formula than Family Guy, maybe one that's as good as American Dad.
Some folks on the Internet think they're a special GIFT to the world, and others aren't. In this perspective, they're kind of right.I initially read the topic as "Seth Green remaking The Flintstones" and wondered why everyone was complaining. Then I woke up.
Politics is the skilled use of blunt objects.Seth Green remaking The Flintstones would be amazing.
More Buscemi at http://forum.reelsociety.com/From what I've seen of The Cleveland Show they essentially turned him into a Peter clone, while American Dad started off kinda clone-ish but very quickly developed it's own style. As I've said in other threads, Francine almost seems more like Peter than Stan! And Stan seems to have gotten somewhat saner as the series progressed, kinda the opposite of what happened to Peter.
Emperor Wu liked cake, but not exploding cake!It probably helps that American Dad has some of the Family Guy writers from the original, pre-flanderization run (one of the King of the Hill writers also wrote a few episodes).

It could always be worse. I first read the thread title as Todd MacFarlane remakes the Flinstones O.o

So an old mediocre cartoon is being remade by Seth Mac Farlane? Eh, see how it goes. I don't care enough about the Flintstones to be that annoyed by this, even if I don't like Family Guy that much.
This is just like the time Andrew Dice Clayrock guest-starred on Night Courtstone!
Except [condescending response follows]. Because [sarcasm here]. You do understand [snark], right? POTHOLE TO SARCASM MODELOL @ people who act as if something new that they don't like is in some way sullying or shitting upon the original. Watch the original then.
bogleech.com for my writing, comics and cartoons.lulz. Jerry Beck keeps spelling his name as "MacFarland". He clearly hates him. :D
