Which made it a melodramatic sunlower field scene. That was very emotional.
#IceBearForPresidentAre you trying to say Yuki Kajiura or is that some composer that I don't know? yeah, I probably should've just googled it, oh well.
Oh, and it seems that the location of the series is based on the town of Mizuho.

Imoutos are the best! Follow at your own risk. Tumblr. In that case, I don't think that comparison is really appropriate because YK is a full fledged composer (as far as I know) while Jun Maeda, while having a lot of experiences, is not as much of a composer as she is. Frankly, I think it's a bit unfair to compare him to her because really, isn't she one of the best composers out there?
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel. But you have to admit, Maeda has done wonderful music for all the KEY games. I can understand if you don't appreciate the music, if you haven't played the games.
Imoutos are the best! Follow at your own risk. Tumblr.I never played the game (but damn it, I want to play it so FUCKING bad! It's not available in my country, along with most VN) but I LOVE the soundtrack (especially Town, Flow of time, People) and in fact, I have seven MP 3 files in my player, which I listen to everyday.
Out of Key Visual Arts music, my all time favorite is the opening of Angel Beats. I think I'm listening to that at least twenty times a day.
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel. He also composed that, so there, I'd say he's pretty accomplished.
Think about it. All those Girls' Dead Monster songs...
Imoutos are the best! Follow at your own risk. Tumblr....You know what, I'm taking my words back.
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel. If you're going to stand there and assert that this is not way, way too cheesy, I honestly don't know what to tell you.
I don't know about Kirino, but I'll stand here in defense of that piece, every other piece of music, and the concept that "melodrama" is inherently bad.
So there.
Make criticisms that actually have content, not just using mindless buzzwords.
^ I understand his point. I don't agree with it though.
Imoutos are the best! Follow at your own risk. Tumblr.^ This. I think it's unfair to dismiss his opinion so easily even if I don't really mind the music.
Apart from that damn Dango song. Die, dango song, die.
I'm afraid we can no longer be friends, Arha. Dango Daikazoku is god-amazing.
Please be gentle with me.Dango are for eating, not singing.
Hahahah, it's fun when a thread like this has so many diverging opinions. =p
I'm still bitter that they never animated Kappei's route, or Kappei for that matter.
And, even though the ending didn't quite work like in the VN, I didn't mind it, since I wanted to see a good ending and that's what I got. If they went literally like the VN, with ending on the night Ushio died and going the "Alternate Route"-way returning to the day she was born on the next episode it would've been more grating to me, since Tomoya wouldn't have not even a lick of Character Development to make a different decision, at least in the anime he "went" through all that stuff, even if he doesn't remember clearly.
Agreed. Dango Dai Kazoku is awesome!

You're right. That certainly makes the dango song look a lot better by contrast. But I still hate it.
I can understand why one would hate the Dango Daikazoku. It is really randomly silly and not really related to the series. I still love it, though.
Dango Daikazoku is the best song in CLANNAD. Fact.
Always, somewhere, someone is fighting for you. As long as you remember them, you are not alone. The best at giving you diabetes.
No, the best at being awesome and catchy and heartwarming. It is the only song that was supposed to be heartwarming that I didn't find cheesy at all and it is the best. (The two songs in Engrish might have qualified if they weren't... well, in Engrish.)
Always, somewhere, someone is fighting for you. As long as you remember them, you are not alone.I, on the other hand, find it repetitive and furthermore associate it with some of the scenes I like least in the story. It grates on my nerves and then gets stuck in my head. Not terribly hard to banish but then it just pops up again in my head again some hours later.
The opening song of After Story is just beautiful.

Hey, that music played during the sunflower field scene.
