A concern of mine, though, is just how deeply she'll be affected. She's been through these close shaves, what, three times already? She's shrugged it off before, but now she sees one of their own straight up giving up on her.

I get you, TroPartner. I had the same feelings watching Avatar The Legend Of Korra. You start out with a proud, scrappy go-getter like Korra or Almond, it makes sense that you'd make stories for them where they realize their weakness and have to build themselves up. (The writers of Korra only did this like, three times before it took. :p )
You start out with a shy Non-Action Guy like Carrot, though...
I don't think Carrot is carrying anything. At least I don't see it. Looks like he's in the fetal position to me.
I wonder if anything will happen because of Carrot being awake, or if he'll just be useless some more. There's not really much he can do that I can think of, but some kind of miracle has to happen to beat Rosemaster right?
I have to say though that Carrot's cowardliness is starting to be less endearing, and is starting to make me dislike him somewhat. I'll wait to see what happens though.

He apparently ran sometime before Rosemaster put everyone to sleep. You see him in the back of the group on one of the previous pages, but he doesn't fall to the floor like the others.
So since he's there this is his moment of truth I guess?
