Me either but I had a lot of fun doing all the missions
Oh really when?Xiba had some Seong Mina in her? I didn't notice, to be honest. His fighting style seems to be mostly unique, with some shades of Kilik. Of course, Seong Mina's style was originally derived from Kilik's (or vice versa, whatever) so eh. I think they were diverged far enough by II though, though I think they still share some moves?
I am pretty sure that Leixia is just straight Xianghua though. But that's another weird moveset thing. Yunseong's moveset is pretty obviously derived from Hwang's (though not an exact copy), who in turn shares origins with Xianghua's.
...I think how it is was that in Soul Edge, Hwang was a clone of Mitsurugi (being basically his replacement in Korean editions) who got put into the console release anyway (though if he got his own moveset I dunno), while Seong Mina had her own moveset. In Soul Calibur...I think it was like, Hwang had Xianghua's moveset with Kilik's kicks, while Seong Mina had Kilik's moveset with Xianghua's kicks? Something like that. By the time of II, the "Huang style" got properly diverged when it got molded into Yunseong's style, and Seong Mina got further diversion as well, on top of the further changes made to Xianghua and Kilik's styles in II as is.
Or something. This is all just hearsay on my part.
Weapon Master mode was basically "your guy is looking for Soul Edge, but some other jerk beat you to it, then you learn it's evil and seek out Soul Calibur so you can use it against the jerk. Also, Edgemasters", if I recall.
Don't PM me. We don't like being PMed.Some of Xiba's kicks and verticals were more reminiscent of Mi-Na than Kilik, I thought. It could just be me though. And I though Arthur was Mitsurugi's replacement in the Korean versions of the first two games.
What is a fandom? A miserable little pile of flame wars! 3DS FC: 0387-9377-7408 PSN ID: Raven King SageArthur was the Korean replacement for Soul Calibur. Hwang was the one for Soul Edge, but, as I said, he got promoted to a separate character slot in the console release.
Don't PM me. We don't like being PMed.I remember that II came out when I was a really little kid, so my folks put on so many rules about who to play as and who not to play as. No Ivy because of duh. No Necrid, Astaroth, or Nightmare because they're too demonic. No Mitsurugi because he says "damn". I just got really confused and wound up playing as Link and Link only because he was the only one I could be sure about.
"It's liberating, realizing you never need to be competent." — UltimatepheerHwang was pretty much Mitsurugi witch some on his own moves.
Then he was made to be more like Xianghua for some reason with some original stuff and stuff from Soul Blade
We didn't really get a complete Hwang until SCII with Assassin whose style is transferred to Hwang or Chinese Sword in SCIII.
youtube.com/Fire Trainer 92I see I see. Thanks for clarifying.
Don't PM me. We don't like being PMed.Something about this is just so right.

The sad, REAL American dichotomyAnd this is where Soul Calibur 3 actually ended. Everything else was just an alternate universe.
I actually cried a little watching this one.
This needs to be an actual game mode.

The sad, REAL American dichotomyThat second one made me laugh. All the big monsters going out for a few brews at the local pub.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!(I mean I smiled and laughed to hard tears came out. Night Terror, man. Just... Night Terror.
The sad, REAL American dichotomySC 2's weapon master is a prequel to the events of Soul Edge I believe.
Or rather, it takes place before. Some fans even suspect Edgemaster is Tristy although I don't think so.

I don't think it's a prequel, but an AU.
The sad, REAL American dichotomyWell the ending definitely mentions Cervantes and Siegfried, though not in name.
This is why I'd have liked to see Talim being taught by Zasalamel (or now Yoshimitsu).
The sad, REAL American dichotomyOnly thing that would've made it more awesome is, "Heaven's net is wide... but lets nothing through."
Eating a Vanilluxe will give you frostbite.Given the fact Yukari Tamura is Talim in Japan, how come there have been no Lyrical Nanoha-related jokes on Talim's expense, like fanart of Talim in Nanoha's Barrier Jacket or whatever have you?
Back to something m ore on-topic, how exactly did Raphael and Amy wind up having traits of vampirism?
I made a Nanoha outfit for Talim in SCIV a long time ago,◊ if that counts.
Because everything isn't about VA jokes? At most, you might get one or two pieces of fanart out of it.
Don't PM me. We don't like being PMed.Thanks
Nice
Sorry to double-post, because if I posted at , no one would reply. Any reason why Rock never thought of taking Bangoo with him while looking for his (the former's) parents?
Maybe B Angoo was too young?
The sad, REAL American dichotomySo, who all here has made (or tried to make) at least one outright clone of a character from another series in CAS?
'Cause I'm thinking of doing a crowner for the hell of it.
i care but i'm restless, i'm here but i'm really gone, i'm wrong and i'm sorry, baby
SO HAHA LET'S CHANGE SUBJECT.
Weapon Master mode in II was kind of weird, I didn't really understant the story there that much.
