Bayonetta (The Game)

All we need is for Capcom to announce DMCV and I'll be in hack-and-slash heaven.

And then after both release, have the Bayonetta and Dante crossover Kamiya wants to make a reality.

Indeed.

Anyways, since it appears Bayonetta to killed in the trailer, I have a huge suspicion that this game will see her defeating the ruler of Inferno. That way, she will have beaten the rulers of all three realms.

But she already commands the ruler of Inferno, so it would be hard to jusitfy it.

Hopefully the final boss isn't as disappointing as Aesir was.

Time could simply be up in terms of her contract. Plus, there was that time when she lost control of one of her summoned Infernal Demons.

Here's how I want it to go down:

• Without leadership in Paridiso, Inferno invades Earth.

• Bayonetta tries to stop them, she Luka and Rodin are killed.

• Bayonetta goes to Inferno, rescues mom and Rodin.

• Goes to Paridiso, rescues dad and Luka.

• Leads angels against Inferno.

• Kills Queen Sheba.

• Mom is put on throne of Inferno, dad is put on throne of Paridiso.

• Luka, Rodin, and Bayonetta brought back to life.

• Balance restored.

I'm excited for another bayonetta game to spend hundreds of hours on and never finish.

On the go as well! The Switch is great.

I really hope they don't mess up the final boss this time around.

I would like the goes-to-space factor to be on par with Bayo 1, or better.

I'm really happy the first two games are coming to Switch since I have a Hack and Slash itch I need to scratch.

Honestly, for the final boss, I don't really care about how massive it is. Just so long as it's a memorable one with a great battle. Like Vergil in DMC 3.

Being massive like it was was what made Jubileus so memorable, and Aesir, even though he's supposed to be stronger due to managing to keep both eyes, seems just so much lamer in comparison

In terms of possible Bayo 3 themes, wasn't there a tweet not too long ago where Kamiya answered a fan-question that went something like "so what's up with the world of Chaos does it even have a name" with "wait until B3" or am I misremembering that.

"wait until B3' was apprently one of his standard answers to certain types of questions, so that might very well be the case.

I thought Earth was supposed to be the world of Chaos.

It is, the question was just about how "the human world" being part of the Trinity but not having a name in the vein of Inferno, Paradiso, Purgatorio etc. left it in a bit of an Aerith and Bob-ian odd one out kind of situation, I think. Here's the tweet, it's not a big deal, at the time it was mostly notable for suggesting that the possibility of B3 existed at all but who knows.

So i wonder if the third game is about fixing the balance of the world since she sorta killed the rulers of Heaven which may allowed the forces of Hell to invade the other realms?

Bayo 2 was about the balance of the world being disrupted, but it seems like the Eye of Light vanishing (while the Eye of Darkness still existed) was more important than Jubileus being killed.

The ending to Bayonetta 2 still confuses me though. Past Balder has his eye taken away and then it gets erased. Presumably the eye he was using came from the past but if that's true then how does he still have it in the first game?

Way I see it, it makes sense only if the Eye of Light still existed when Balder died, but was intangible and impotent without someone to wield it. This caused the imbalance. When Loptr pulled a young Balder through time, the Eye in the present time recognized him as a Lumen Sage, and passed to him. Which would also mean he left the eye from his own time behind when he went into the future, and regained it when he went to the past again at the end of the game.

That might also explain why Loptr recruited Balder to begin with; he couldn't steal the Eye if it wasn't attached to anyone.

So...hey, if Bayonetta 3 really is happening, how likely will we see anything regarding the other projects Kamiya-sensei "teased"?

(Context: Some months ago, Hideki Kamiya went on social media and "confirmed" stuff about Viewtiful Joe 3, The Wonderful 102, Okami 2, and Bayonetta 3. We didn't really know if he was serious or he was just trolling with us, but since Bayo 3 was announced for Nintendo Switch at this year's Game Awards...)

Joe and Okami are out of Kamiya's hands.

Maybe so, but who says Kamiya can't work something out with Capcom later down the line?
