Yeah, it sure has. It almost feels like they're going to go for a series ending this season.
Check out my fanfiction! It's not going into overdrive, but at least the development IS happening. Next episode should bring in Yamada's plot to the fore as well.
It does feel like this might tie up the manga.
Yamada has a natural talent for sadism. No wonder she looks up to Souma. And Kirio finally found her!
Pretty boring episode all around apart from the ending.
Why doesn't Takanashi just silence Souma by beating the crap out of him? Souma's deathly afraid of Inami, whose punches are easily stopped by Yamada (male), who's easily placed into submission by Takanashi so it stands to reason that Takanashi should be the strongest of them all...
Because Takanashi is an M and secretly loves it.
Battery charges + humiliation > humiliation.
Typically, beating up your blackmailer only works if you can guarantee either the destruction of the materials used to blackmail you or you prevent the blackmailer from ever being able to use said blackmail material (e.g. put them in a coma). Takanashi can't do the former and is likely unwilling to do the latter.
Reminder: Offscreen Villainy does not count towards Complete Monster.Episode 6. In which there are doubles.
Why did she walk in under him?
Why did she walk in under him?
That's almost direct contact. Progress sure has gone far.
Maya looks bored.
Somehow, Yamada is less inspirational than Popura. Can't imagine why.
Yeah, because trying to ignore it is going to work so well.
She's almost like a ceiling fan.
Yachi, you mean well. But this is Yamada you're talking with. You have to be more precise, or at least think about how she will interpret it.
"Show me on the doll..." Okay, kinda funny, for once.
I'm not sure his reasoning was all that solid, but he hit someone who deserved it, and was ultimately at fault anyway.
Either she's very, very light, or he's got strong arms. And I expected a glomp.
They're way too in synch. But they're still facing an opponent too strong even for the both of them.
Never forget, Yamada is one of the most perceptive individuals there. She's also kind of dumb, so it usually doesn't show, since she usually arrives at the wrong conclusion despite having the correct premise.
Pouf.
Okay, I didn't expect to be correct with the previous bit.
She's very good at playing innocent.
Yamada's sure great at showing what she goes for.
Nazuna has great taste. And I especially liked her comment about humanity.
Tacky Magical Girl theatrics aside, that was a classy block. Also, he reminds me of Kirito.
He's probably right. And he is protective of his "sister".
She's very good at playing innocent.
And it runs in the family.
Pretty weak episode, but it looks like next week we get more Satou/Yachiyo stuff.
Episode 7. In which there are families.
"Turned out" they were using fake names? Wasn't that the idea from the beginning?
I find it odd that Yamada would complain about someone being nice.
Sis has good taste.
I find that that ending is far more believable than the rest of it.
I think not working is the main reason she wants to stay in the chair.
Yachi, Yachi...
Happy Yamada is happy.
Yeah, that joke is mandatory if he says he's concerned about her.
"Accidentally".
That person is one whose thought process is very interesting.
Even she can't lie about that.
Yamada logic is not like most people's logic.
Sure, she's not all that dumb. But still pretty dumb.
If you like Yamada, this is a good episode. If you don't, well, there's always the next one. Not sure why you wouldn't find Yamada interesting. Yamada certainly thinks so.
Check out my fanfiction!I like Yamada and I didn't like this episode.
Well, you have bad taste.
Check out my fanfiction! How can you say that someone who likes Yamada has bad taste?
Good point. Okay, you don't have entirely bad taste.
Seriously though, I found that other than the heavy Yamada focus, it was a relatively balanced episode. A lot of things that happened actually had a point, which I suppose is not the usual pattern, and while it might not have had as many jokes as usual, it made up for it well enough in plot. Which I suppose is also not the usual pattern.
Check out my fanfiction!I felt it was kind of a weak resolution to her subplot. It doesn't help that Yamada's mother just isn't very interesting. Yamada just doesn't really work well as a serious character.
I found that suitable for her. And I'd say she isn't a serious character despite her plot being at least somewhat serious. Which is what makes it work. Her mother is interesting enough for the time she appears and the amount of focus she gets. And still more interesting than Inami.
Check out my fanfiction! That's not high praise!
Back to not taking Yamada seriously whee! Souta has awfully specific tastes if he doesn't think she's cute. She's like a stupid little inbred puppy.
RUN SATOU! RUN! RUN FOR YOUR LIFE!
Episode 8. In which all the Yamadas want a family.
No matter what happens with Yamada and Yamada's family, Yamada is Yamada.
Kind of amazing to work there for so long and end up in debt anyway.
He's a good big brother. Not like the big brother.
Yamada is a troll. And for once a somewhat successful one.
The difference between their violence is that one of them is being asked for it.
They understand each other.
Yamada looks different with those clothes.
Something that's easy to answer. Well, I don't think the problem lies in the message. Someone just hasn't heard Satou's lesson.
Some changes are easy to spot which way they go. Also, betrayal is not good for friendship. Whether that's something you can affect yourself.
Yeah, that probably is exactly it. Although I think he abbreviated it somewhat.
Yamada, don't frighten Maya. Unlike you, she's normal.
Maya is not impressed with Yamada's plan.
Wearing kiddie clothes like that is practically never cute.
Leg it: Best way to avoid an annoying situation.
Check out my fanfiction!Wow, this episode is amazingly boring. Maybe it's because the last few characters added to the cast all kinda suck? Minegishi and Yamada's mom are just kind of annoying. I actually had to skip large portions of it.

So Souta's mom is a super bitch.
This episode was rather dull as well.
The thing is, I don't think the last set of five episodes are supposed to be "funny" in a traditional sense, as what we're seeing instead is the resolution of all the remaining plot threads for the series. What humor we're getting now is due to the hindsight given by the previous two seasons.
Then there's THIS — who knew Kozue's drunkeness was a result of a massive case of Middle Child Syndrome, for example? Yikes. The Takanashi matriarch IS a piece of work, but where does Inami fit in all this?
Development's been kicking into overdrive this season, considering the usual pace of this show...
