Alright, right now wednesday looks about perfect for me.

There are many like it, but this one is mine. While I'm not technically working, I've a bit busy working on assembling a modding team for Skyrim in anticipation of the CK release: I'd personally like to be the guy who contributes to the werewolf fix everyone's been waiting for, especially since it looks like Skyrim's going to be linked to Steamworks.

Rarely active, try DA/Tumblr Avatar by pippanaffie.deviantart.comYou haven't played Skyrim have you. The werewolves are sukishly weak and boring. Idk, I just remember that there was an absolutely awesome Oblivion mod that added werewolves.

Rarely active, try DA/Tumblr Avatar by pippanaffie.deviantart.comI think this is a good time to say that this project is officially dead.
I'm only posting this to let you guys know that I am going to take Kevin and Eolandre as my own characters and use them in another story. I'm not sure which one yet, but I like Kevin too much to not let him be wasted.
Officially dead...what should we do with the documents? I own a quite a few of them; should they be cleared, locked, and deleted?
Should we at least, I don't know, say a few "parting" words about we learned, or did, or something? I personally have a bad habit of speaking about this project with bitterness, but it wasn't all bad. I can say that I enjoyed talking to and working with you guys, and even though I was unhappy with the quality of the semi-finished work, there were moments of the drafts I liked.
I say it was fun while it lasted. I learned how to use Google Doc, which is valuable tool I still use. I also had different tastes of the writing process, seeing different writing styles and in general trying to do something.
It also served of kind of a measuring tool. I'm more mature now than back in May.
If anything, Kevin will be what I take away, and perhaps Manifestation Files. That idea sprouted out of some of the brainstorming I did while working on this project.
It was fun while it lasted, though certainly more so early on, and while I, too, have my regrets, it really was far from as bad as it could have been. Plus, it gave me a chance to share ideas with some very interesting people, develop a little as a writer and just kind of occupy my ever-wandering mind with something.
I get the feeling that I'll be using Kenneth and Harris for something, somewhere—they're both strong characters with very interesting, strange attributes—but I will definitely miss writing Harris' interactions with Finn. Love is a strange thing to write; truly crazy love takes that strangeness into a whole different space when it comes to narrative. Writing those scenes made me happy, as a writer; in addition, it gave me an excuse to play off of Away, who is an excellent writer in her own right and someone I'd really love to talk to more than I do.
All in all, in the end, I've found more good than bad, even if that bad was awful indeed. So I'm happy.
I'll hide your name inside a word and paint your eyes with false perception.I don't really mind if Astrid or whatever other minor characaters I wrote for float off into cyberspace, but Aethel was from a previous version of my story, and I would like him back.
Also, the documents. What do I do with them? I need answer before I take an action that everyone will hate.
Could you leave them up until the end of the week? I'm considering copying them all and saving them onto my computer as private reference.

Private reference...do you promise not to take anyone's writing and put it into your own "by accident"?
Not that I think you will, but I'm seconding that, if only because I'm totally reclaiming the "she irons her socks" line.
I'll hide your name inside a word and paint your eyes with false perception.Don't worry. It's mostly my own writing I'm want to save. I'll refrain from lifting entire passages.

Even though a lot of people have had a hand in editing and rewriting "your own writing," okay, I trust you. But as JHM mentioned, it's the little lines that are more...troublesome.
Tread carefully. That goes to everyone who may want to save the documents for their own files. I don't intend to, but I can see why some would want them.
And I guess if there is something another person wrote that you liked, you could always ask about it, right?

Funny I was just mentioning this to Betsy. Well Chi, you have my blessing, and J, feel free to PM at any time, and I'll do the same. It's sad that this ended so quickly, but once a group project loses steam, it tends to just become dead in the water.

This has to have been the best thing I've gone as a writer, I'd say my author skill increased by 10 times thanks to all of you, and I have to give you all a massive thank you for it. I'd also like to copy everything but only has a style reference*. I have little to no intent of re-using anything, even my own ideas with the exception of maybe Axel.
I ended up using the skills I learned here and applied them to my Na No, which came out fantastic though unfinished. So I really do have to thank all of you again. When I started this, I wasn't even sure anyone would comment on it. Like said on the first post this was an experiment, and by that definition it was pretty successful.

Rarely active, try DA/Tumblr Avatar by pippanaffie.deviantart.comYes, it was a great practice and experiment. At the time this started, my own project was in shambles, and writing and editing the drafts kept me working.
My writing hasn't changed significantly, but the comments and criticism you all gave me helped me shaped the rougher edges of my work.
That, and the talking, RPing, and goofing off with you guys for hours (as far as JHM and Away are concerned, hours upon hours upon hours) was always fun.
I'll leave the documents I own up until next Friday, and then I'll clear them all and lock them. I'll save the important things to my Dropbox, too, so if someone wasn't able to get to them in time, PM me and I will send them along.
Thanks again.
You're welcome.
I'm considering using Kevin (and Rory and possibly Clark) in a future story idea. However, I'm uncertain about what the plot of this story idea will be.
What's the rules in terms of recycling the plot of Ashwood Landing? I'm not considering lifting major parts of the plot, but I'm considering the "portals from another world are letting monsters through and there is a whole conspiracy" plot.
Is that okay with you guys? If not, I can reconsider.
KK
