I don't see what makes that so much better.

Perhaps just a higher quality version of the current picture. I got a couple screencaps:

It's tough to improve on the South Park example, though I do like the better quality scans, and like the second image a bit more than the current one - there's more going on, with all the alien prison cells and stuff.

[up][up]Go with the second one.

We aren't going to have a scientology-bash image. Or one for any other superstition/religion/whatever.

The first panel of this Penny Arcade strip, perhaps?

That's just totally reliant on text; maybe it could go in the quotes section though. An ideal image would show something "Not Making This Up" Disclaimer-worthy happening along with the caption.

I took a screengrab from the Yugioh Abridged clip, but the quality probably isn't high enough.

[up]What the hell? That defiantly works.

[up][up]Yeah, that one. It doesn't have any appearance of bashing on anyone, unlike the other suggestions.

Plus the current caption still applies.

I have absolutely no idea what is happening in that image, and the image quality sucks.

Is what's happening more important than the disclaimer itself?

Perhaps a custom image could work?

I think a screencap of the Linkara review of All Star Batman And Robin #1 could do, where he shows the script, and posts the message saying that it's the actual script.

Not sure if this this topic is still relevant, but Full Frontal Nerdity did a nice one. It's one the second panel of this strip.

I think the fact that it is a perfectly straight example with some actual context would make it a good trope image.

I like it too...would it need the first panel to establish context or not?

I think that the second provides enough context, especially since it's so topical. Besides, the context isn't the main attraction, but the bonus.

Not really fond of its Talking Headsy quality, but that's just personal preference. That works.

The words above are to be read as if they are narrated by Morgan Freeman.

If you think you can find one without as many words that doesn't come across as a complete Non Sequitur, feel free.

I'm not such a fan of the Full Frontal Nerdity one. It's a little too much text to get the concept across.

I fail to see how the Full Frontal Nerdity example even displays the trope.

"Only now, after being besieged by a flock of talking ponies, did he really understand what he'd lost. "
