I've only played through 2 with Loki. He's funny, but a bit one-note.
I've done Dinah and am now doing Arno.
I spread my wings and I learn how to fly....Spain, you know those characters you met in the ice dungeon? They were from another Summon Night game.
(◕ ヮ ◕)ノWhat ice dungeon?
There was a glacier, but no ice dungeon.
I spread my wings and I learn how to fly....Oh, that was a glacier? I thought so, but I couldn't remember clearly enough to be sure.
(◕ ヮ ◕)ノEverything's covered in ice but it's actually the wind dungeon. Baffling
"Seriously, don't eat the mermaid. And not just because it's half cannibalism." ~OtherarrowWell, there is no ice element in Summon Night.
I spread my wings and I learn how to fly....I threadhopped to this page, as I recently started playing Summon Night: Swordcraft Story.
A very interesting game, Swordcraft Story. I do like the mechanic of forging your own weapons.
I should play through SS 2, but I've been distracted with other games.
Incidentally, who was your summon when you went through the questions the first time, assuming you answered the questions relatively truthfully, rather than aiming for a particular summon? I got Sugar.
Don't take life too seriously. It's only a temporary situation.I remember this game. Sugar and Rassho are the only summons that can actually talk, so for story purposes, they're the only ones worth getting if you care about dialogue. However, Rassho himself is pretty annoying to use, because he gets such a small amount of Heal charges (heal is a water type attack, and he's a fire creature).
I played the second S Cstory game, and I thought it was okay, but there were honestly just too many characters to the point that what depth any of them would have had was stretched too thin in my opinion. Though I'll admit, the second game had a much better weapon crafting system.
They never travel alone.By answering the questions honestly I got a one-sided lesbian love story. :P
Better than Varil by a longshot, though. Seriously—the only male "love interest" in the game who's even close to Pratty's age is like... 10 years old. It's as if they were trying to encourage girl on girl relationships in SC story (which in retrospect, they obviously were).
Also, looking back—the first pages of this thread are a few days off from being almost exactly a year ago.

They never travel alone.I don't really like Sugar.
If I want yuri I'd pair Pratty and Sanary.
Sanary is awesome.
Wow, a lot of stuff can happen in a year.
...That said, Sanary all the way.
(◕ ヮ ◕)ノSanary's probably one of the more difficult bosses too. Even taking level scaling into account, I actually think she's tougher than Razzy.
One more rant I have against Varil though, is that he keeps repeating to you over and over that he wants to defeat you with a weapon that he made himself. And yet, when you face him in the post game, he's still using the exact same spear (with the same stats and everything) that he fought you with in the beginning of the game. And also, what's with Lubert? I don't get why they let him come back to Wystern after betraying them for money.

They never travel alone.^ She damn well better be! I already know she's a late-game boss but she damn well better be tough given my opinion of her!
I'm halfway or so through the game, and I'm going to start streaming this (from where I last stopped) in about 10 minutes. At that point, a major character had just passed away, at least from what I could tell, so there may be spoilers if you're not familiar with the game.
Stream will be here: http://www.livestream.com/gmhschannel

I CAST RESURRECTION!
So yeah, I beat the game yesterday.
I saw Lynn being pseudo-evil and Ryouga not being actually evil coming, tbh. But that's okay.
Starting a New Game+ right now. Suggestions on which Guardian Beast I should use?
