That's doable. Dig into the dirt, leave a single-tile-wide layer of it above the work site, then when you have your Castle done you can blow that layer and let the water flood in. After a while of roaming the surface, your villagers should teleport in safely. Assuming they survive long enough against the onslaught of monsters. It might take a full day and night before they go to their rooms.

Or just restarting thegame puts them in their rooms, doesnt it?

That might do it too. I don't remember off hand and it's been maybe a month since I booted up the game.

But yeah, I imagine even if the crimson or the hallow or whatever spread around my castle, the NP Cs would be safe and the most important part of it.

It would look cool.

Build it in brick instead of straight material, or the Crimson or Corruption will overtake your fort in Hard mode.

And might I just say that the Crimson is fucking creepy.

The Commodores!

Old song though. 1977. Funk-ay stuff. I guess I am a nerd.

I'm annoyed that I had to abandon the game just after finally delving into hard mode for the first time. The game is just too unstable to play and I hate having to completely reboot.

Is that common, or something on your side? I'd rather not have to keep restarting once I get settled in a world.

Never happened to me...

No idea and can't get any help with it. Terraria just randomly decides to crash so hard that it kills my browser.

I assume it does not happen with any other game? that might be a Flash thing, or a video card thing if it is dragging down the browser too, maybe even Java idk

Only Terraria. I made a topic on the official forums, got a little bit of basic help but otherwise nothing.

I would also update your drivers though. Just in case.

I did. All the basic diagnostic measures. Maybe something's changed since then, haven't played since June.

Rotpar: You are the only one I know of having that issue. Delete all local content via steam for Terraria then try a reinstall.

So I managed to get the Eye of Cthulhu, and the Eater of worlds. Skeletron feels buffed though. Maybe I just need to build an arena to kill him but I am lazy about that.

For a Skeletron arena, you can just flatten the roof of the dungeon.

It amazes me how many times they've gone "We're done making this game" only to turn around and have a new update.

Based on what?

Considering they have a planned finish point and want to make a sequel it will likely be done soon after the Lunar update.

It's apparently on GOG now.

Which is sort of a long time coming since it never used Steam's multiplayer system while it was exclusive to Steam.

[up][up][up] I think it's gonna be awhile longer before the Lunar update comes out. Reason why I say that is because the latest patch is so far only making updates to the character models and animations as well as a few new biomes.

Like I noted they plan one last big update and inevitable patch(S). They do have a plan to finish with the game. As it is they could leave off the game and it would be fine.
